I got this icon: little monitor with a little phone jack by it. It's what tells me that I'm connected to the internet.
It has an X by it which means that I am not connected to the internet.

As you can tell, I am.

There are two ways to connect. One is Wired (CAT5) and the other is Wireless. You are probably connected Wireless, and the Wired connection is showing disconnected.

How did you manage to do that?

You know those stick on bounce dryer thingies? I was replacing one of those - completely, and had gotten all the goo off. I decided to stick the new one on in a different place. Closed and turned on the dryer, opened it and then turned it by hand to move to where I could center it. The belt snapped when I turned it.

It was nice. I drove up to northeastern LA to be with my sister there. Mom is in the hospital with lower back pain, so I was able to spend some time with her, too. The hospital is close to that sister. Mom and her live about 30 minutes apart.

It was nice. I drove up to northeastern LA to be with my sister there. Mom is in the hospital with lower back pain, so I was able to spend some time with her, too. The hospital is close to that sister. Mom and her live about 30 minutes apart.

I'm sorry about your mama. Are they able to give her treatment?

They're talking about pain management. She just had a back surgery a few months ago, and was doing so well. I just saw her at Halloween. This started around Nov 2 and kept getting worse. They "think" it's a slipped/bad disc above where that work was done. She really doesn't want to go through surgery again.

Our Christmas family gathering was going to be today, but when she went into the hospital, it was put off until she gets out.

I think this is the worst time of year to go in. Not only for her, but because so many of the doctors are out. She's trying to get an appointment for her back doctor next week.
