House picked up and nap taken.

Tink, I go shopping with hubs for new shoes cause I do not want him buying something ugly and out of fashion. And he could just do that without a woman's help.

This would be something he might pick out.

My number one pet peeve.....learn your language if you are going to type it!!!!

And today, the schools are failing miserably at teaching it!

OK....now that I am riled, I am ready to clean!!!! :D

Why Glam, I'm surprised at you. Don't you know that it is all about learning "the standards" now? And let's not be too critical of student writing lest they refuse future tasks. Spelling? Vocabulary? Grammar? No longer taught. The standards baby, just the standards.

I'm scared to ask just what is being taught to the kids! 8-o

Hello, Beachers.....did not go out for dinner...no new shoes tonight. Hubs brought home fresh picked today sweet corn.

WARNING.....the following description may cause hunger pangs and drooling on keyboard resulting in wet keys.

Fresh sweet corn, hot, buttered, and salted, sliced garden tomatoes, brined garden cucumbers and vidalia onions, crispy fried bacon. Yes....a delightful summer meal. Hubs decided that he would rather have this for dinner, and limp around a few more days. :D

This is not the schools' fault.....our government stepping in and creating all the mandates....that is the problem. They need to bow out and let teachers teach!! :glare::mad::glare:

I know. Didn't mean to make it sound like it was the teachers. A case of government making decisions and people are suppose to follow along like robots.

Give me the sixties back when people use to stand up and yell!!!!!!!!!

One of my best friends is a retired teacher, and she now substitute teaches....school has not started yet here, and she already has 24 days booked to teach....because the teachers are required to attend government mandated meetings. And she is only one sub.....think of all the other subs that have been booked for those same teacher absences. Taxpayers getting double whammied for school budgets.

When I was a kid, a substitute came in only if a teacher was sick or had a death in the family. Other than that, the regular teacher was there every day, teaching instead of following government mandated rules and regulations.

I could rant and rave all night.....so I will shut up now! :D
