LADY'S YEARLY EXAM

I went to the doctor for my yearly physical.
The nurse started with certain basics.

"How much do you weigh?" she asked.
"135," I said.
The nurse put me on the scale.

It turns out my weight is 180.

The nurse asked, "Your height?"
"5 foot 4," I said.
The nurse checked and saw that I only measure 5' 2"

She then took my blood pressure and told me that it is very high.

"Of course it's high!" I screamed, 'When I came in here I
was tall and slender! Now I'm short and fat!"

She put me on Prozac.

What a witch

This is not the schools' fault.....our government stepping in and creating all the mandates....that is the problem. They need to bow out and let teachers teach!! :glare::mad::glare:

I think some states are finally getting tired of it. North Carolina voted to reject the Common Core curriculum :thumb: And I saw a headline recently (didn't read the article) that some schools are rejecting Michelle's ridiculous school lunch dictates. I have heard of stories re that.... a kid would have a perfectly healthy lunch from home but it didn't fit her criteria so the teacher would throw away the kid's lunch and make them eat a much less healthy school lunch (and charge them for it, of course).

I know. Didn't mean to make it sound like it was the teachers. A case of government making decisions and people are suppose to follow along like robots.

Give me the sixties back when people use to stand up and yell!!!!!!!!!

All the teachers I know....and I know a lot of them since most of my friends are teachers..are so ...... off at what is happening. But what do you do? We cannot afford to pull out all our kids from public schools and send them to private schools.

One of my best friends is a retired teacher, and she now substitute teaches....school has not started yet here, and she already has 24 days booked to teach....because the teachers are required to attend government mandated meetings. And she is only one sub.....think of all the other subs that have been booked for those same teacher absences. Taxpayers getting double whammied for school budgets.

When I was a kid, a substitute came in only if a teacher was sick or had a death in the family. Other than that, the regular teacher was there every day, teaching instead of following government mandated rules and regulations.

I could rant and rave all night.....so I will shut up now! :D

Government, big corporations, a few other that will remain nameless.

I'm back. :)

Guten abend, Herr, Meggers. Achtung!!! I also took German....sprechen sie Deutsch? Nein....cannot remember Schitt.

Fixed it for ya.

Google translator couldn't even figure that out

Have fun tonight. The going out to dinner with friends sounds like fun. Shoe shopping with hubs… not so much

She must have made a typo.

What I got for "Abyssus, quam es vos." was "Hell, how are you."

Why Glam, I'm surprised at you. Don't you know that it is all about learning "the standards" now? And let's not be too critical of student writing lest they refuse future tasks. Spelling? Vocabulary? Grammar? No longer taught. The standards baby, just the standards.

Sounds like Standards in another way of saying Bare Minimums. :(

Makes you wonder what they are trying to "mold" the kids into. :?:

Total non-thinking herds of sheep. Just follow.

I don't think they are "molding" anymore, just pushing them through and out

There's still plenty of molding going on... well, in the Lunch Room, anyway.
