They were probably 26 or something close. We always think we will stay young and pretty, cause it can't happen to us. Then we go to a class reunion, or run into a classmate and reality starts to set in.

I know. When you're young and you're around old people...the thought never crosses your mind you're gonna look like that someday. Weird.

And when a clerk calls me hon, or sweetie in a condescending voice, I always think...."Just you wait, dearie, you will be here before you know it."

My eye appointment went well but...I have to go back and have another test in two weeks anyway.

Here I thought you were e mailing them to me and I was thinking about what I could force out of everyone before posting them.

That's what I was going to say when meggers mentioned the fashion police.

We've lost a few of the famous in the last few months.

People can say what they want but Joan lived the way you should live. She did what she wanted and said what she wanted with no holds barred. Hell...she made as many jokes about her facelifts as she made about other people.

I like her and that is what I like about her.

I think I have spent enough on face creams and face serums to have just went and had the surgery. I am not growing old gracefully....I just fell up the steps in my flip flops yesterday. Nothing graceful about me. My body padding usually keeps me from getting hurt.

I have all the conditions that point at glaucoma. It's genetic. To avoid it I do the drops in my eyes to keep it in check. So far so good. My pressure is down to 14. Which is great. They didn't catch it in my Dad till his pressure was really high. So now I have to take a test they give me once a year to make sure my peripheral vision isn't diminishing.

dh has it too and I have the beginnings of it. dh has to go to the doc every 3 months to have it checked. The good news is this: the doc gave dh a charge card that so far has paid for all of the monthly eye drops.

DH has it and uses drops a lot. I should because I'm got the signs of cataracts. Sometimes I remember to do it.

It just got cloudy and dark here and the thunder has begun.

The good news is when we went shopping the other day, we got a surge protector to plug the laptop into.

Even with our insurance the drops were going to cost him 117.00. Who can afford that every month? I have taken myself all meds that I can get by without. The savings on no longer taking mirapex is considerable.

I use the same thing as DH and he gets it through the VA and they keep him well supplied so it don't cost us anything.
