I just like it if it looks warm...not hot, just warm.
Shoveling is no fun.Any chance you move to a place without snow one day, like San Diego?
I do love it there! However, the whole water situation in the southwest, the fires (I've gotten caught up in that a couple of times), the cost of living....... *sigh*. I'm keeping it on my list but have also thought about places like Portland, Maine and (don't laugh until you've tried it!) Chattanooga.

I had "taste" of Iowa winter and that was enough.
We get only a couple inches a year here.

The cost of living is not too bad around parts of Oregon, such as where I am. I'd think the weather a little better than Portland, Maine. No sales tax, but pretty high income tax here.

Mid-sized city, mild winters, diverse population, universities, cool downtown neighborhoods, gorgeous large river, many surrounding lakes, slower pace...... all things I like!
