When I first saw this image, I have to admit I was puzzled by your "brrrrrrr" ...
OK, your "sand" is a little whiter than mine. But, not much. I think some of the difference is due to the photography too.
It looked like a sunny Summer scene to me, like this one taken near here ...brrrrrrr

Hi CES! Of course I realized (after a moment of confusion) that yours had snow. That's why in my response, the word sand is in quotes. I couldn't find a better "white sand" photo to respond with online. Most of the sand dunes in these parts have been bulldozed. The point I apparently failed to make is that your photo appeared to be of our white sand beaches at first examination.
FWIW, I have a photo I took in South Park, Colorado with fresh snow on a couple "hills" which looked like gigantic Florida Panhandle sand dunes. I don't have those photos digitized. But, I was impressed enough with the resemblance to have snapped a couple pictures of them.
I'm getting ready to head out to Mossy Head, departure in less than an hour.
