homeuser6, You are the bomb! Very clever design and nice looking. The overall shape is different and effective. Like the firing mechanism too. I'm jealous.
i have to laugh. i love the compliments, but fear technology has left me behind. i've got a '70 chevy pickup,a '70s engine lathe, a highwall rifle and my pentium computer can barely load ecf. on the bright side, i haven't had a smoke in years.
I have and always will enjoy taking a not so perfect clone and making it right. I am a watchmaker by trade, so when I started down the mech road 4years ago, most clones took some effort to make right. Now, not so much, they are getting much better. But tbh, I would'nt get much enjoyment out of a mod that was perfect out of the box. I would rather have the fun of making it mine, and of course saving enough money to do it over and over and over again. I also like the fact that this approach is totally guilt free.
I have a lot of cloned mechs, boxes and tubes and a few authentics. I do think the authentics are slightly better in looks and feel but the performance (the "hit" or voltage drop) is pretty much the same as the clones. My 8 dollar praxis clone hits just as hard as my 120 dollar Woodpecker.
