I fire my Pico/Melo III Mini at 27.5 Watts which is considered low I don't think you would get a good vape at 14W. Just my opinion though.
Would depend on the coil. The Melo III by the way will take other coils than just the ones sold for it. Including the Aspire Atlantis coils and the Triton coils. The Triton 1.8ohm coils would require very little power.

I’m still trying to find a wattage I like.
    I’m an mtl.
But mine will not vape at 14 W using a 0.5 coil !

Sorry, I didn't mean for you to try .5 @ 14W. That would not be fun.
I use .5 in the Melo3 sub-ohm tank. If you're mtl'ing, I'd suggest a Nautilus mini with nice adjustable airflow, 1.8ohm coils @ about 13watts or so. That is me & my wife's favorite mtl setup.

I was referring to the original coils as I have never used a coil that was not specifically made for any of my tanks. Maybe they work but I have never tried using them. Since we are talking about a new user I wasn't going to confuse things by talking about non OEM coils. Just my opinion

If your a MTL vaper it's a lot better to get rid of the kit tank and get a real MTL tank. Even if the melo can be vaped as a MTL the airflow is not that restricted as it should be. Either go with a pre-made coil tank like aspire Nautilus 2 or innokin endura T18/T22 or get some RTA tank like Digiflavor Siren, kayfun, skyline etc...

I did end up doing a lazy google and this kept coming up. People were recommending the Triton 1.8 Ohm coils for the Melo 3 if you want to MTL.

What is the batery life like on the Pico 75W pls?

I have been considering one and i mtl so would be just on 14W or so. I like the look iof the Pico nice little device.
When I was using a pico at 30-35w I had to change batteries twice a day, late night and midday usually. Now at 10-15w I get several days, though it's a little harder to gauge since I use a few different devices throughout the day.

Is there a list of which coils I can use in my Melo 3 mini ?
Any "Atlantis compatible" coil will work in the melo III, Google would probably find you a list. Melo III isn't a bad tank but something like a Nautilus 2 would give a better mtl vape, imo.

    between here and there
    Hello.
It has been my experience that the ranges listed on the stock coils are way too high for most of them. I think they do that so the coils don't last as long and burn out quicker. Nothing wrong with the melo stock coils. Both the 0.3 and 0.5 can start at around 10 W and go up from there. Just make sure the coil is well saturated with juice first. If you ever get a hot nasty hit, stop immediately and turn it down. If you are quick enough you may be able to save that coil, if you continue trying to vape it without turning it(W) down, may as well start over with a new coil.

Wattage/power mode is for regular type wires, such as Kanthal, Nichrome, Stainless Steel. You don't set the temp with those.

Temp Control(TC) is used with Nickel, Titianum, and Stainless Steel(yes SS can be used in any mode). I think another poster explained very well how TC works in a previous post.

I used the Melo 2 and 3 for a very long time and like the 0.3 coil the best.

    :)

Yeah, I think it is probably the best MTL option for this tank. It does a good job of restricting the airflow. Still probably more open and airy than some people like, but I think it works well for MTL.

I'd like to give a few friends a starter kit. I'm drawn to the Pico but I'm afraid to give them mech mods.

Is there another really neat starter kit with everything included which isn't a mech mod?

I plan to give maybe 60ml of juice from MBV for each person, that's the true expense really. (Getting 3 or 4 kits.)

    Any suggestions are appreciated. :)
