no, but you can also get 18650 batteries and charge on ebay for about $14. That’s what I did. Or just batteries since the pico can charge the battery.
Also, if I had know about the Pico, I would not have bought some of the other kits I got. Just my opinion.

Be cautious buying batteries from eBay & amazon. Both are filled to the brim with fake/counterfeit, re wrap lesser quality cells & used harvested from battery pack cells.

Best to only buy batteries from reputable vendors to avoid getting hosed on battery purchases.

Is the battery included? Thanks.

If you buy pairs of batteries from some of the recommended battery vendors, you are likely to get a plastic box for safe storage. I get mine from Ilumn, but there are several other battery vendors people like and recommend. Sign up for some mailing lists with the battery sellers, and you will get a notice when they put chargers and batteries on sale.

The Pico kit is a good starter set--it was my first real mod. If you really like your friends, you might get a few MTL tanks in case they want a tighter draw. The Triton Mini or Nautilus X (or mini) will be narrow enough to fit and clear the battery cap on the Pico.

I have new real Sony vtc5 batteries that I bought on ebay.
So I know who to buy from on ebay.

The reason I didn't quote your post is I wasn't speaking directly to you or rebutting what you said.

My response were words of caution for folks that may read this thread & get the notion that sellers on eBay & amazon are trustable sources for batteries.
Most are not, a very few are.

I like my Pico. Throw a Triton mini on top and it can be a great stealth mod. I also use a Super Tank mini on it which allows for way more coil options than the Triton mini. However, if I were buying today, I would get the new Pico 25. Still one battery (rated higher watts to compete but I never use it for anything higher watt) but able to take 25 mm tanks which are becoming ever more popular.

Is the Pico 25 portable (fit in a pants pocket) ?

I'd like to give a few friends a starter kit. I'm drawn to the Pico but I'm afraid to give them mech mods.

Is there another really neat starter kit with everything included which isn't a mech mod?

I plan to give maybe 60ml of juice from MBV for each person, that's the true expense really. (Getting 3 or 4 kits.)

Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

Sounds like we need to know haw much you want to spend per friend?

Well, instead of $35 or $40, it looks like it might be around $60 or $70 dollars per gift. Probably more. I'll have to skimp on the juice I guess.

If you won't need the gifts right away, there might be sales for Labor Day. Do you know for sure what juices your friends would really like? I think I would get fewer or smaller sample sizes for them to try, or even get some smaller empty bottles if you wanted to split some of your favorites with them.

If you'd prefer something with a built in battery, I would suggest the Ego One Mega V2 Starter Kit. It's a better tank for new vapers too honestly.

Yes, I'm thinking of getting 15ml juice bottles. I have no idea what flavors they like. But maybe they could trade flavors, but I'm thinking of sticking with the same idea for each one.

I like the thought of the Labor Day sales!

This is all hush hush, they won't know they're getting one until I give it to them, or send it in the mail. I don't know how much longer I'll be in rehab, or even them. Two kits will go to my roommates, and then the third and fourth one will go to a resident with a terrible cough, and another resident who I think might want to try it. They won't go in the trash. If they really don't want a kit I'll tell them to give it away if they really don't want it.

built in battery is a good idea.
if the friends are new users, you could get pens.
