I've been using the same juice for TC that I use for higher Wattage. Usually 80/20 or 70/30 @ 6 mgs nic. A TC mod will let you use high Wattage to get to the temp you set, so I've been treating it as a high Wattage vape. I have mine set to use 25W because I like the ramp up (feels more like a pipe) but it will go to 75. I guess it would depend on the temp you set?

I usually have my wattage maxed out on dna devices. Biggest reason I use temp control is for the instant ramp up.

'd like to give a few friends a starter kit. I'm drawn to the Pico but I'm afraid to give them mech mods.

Pico is not a mech mod. it's electronically regulated and has the widely used and reliable JoyeTech chipset.

Is there another really neat starter kit with everything included which isn't a mech mod?

I plan to give maybe 60ml of juice from MBV for each person, that's the true expense really. (Getting 3 or 4 kits.)

Any suggestions are appreciated. :)

Forgive me if this has already been addressed. The pico is NOT a mech device. It has the same circuit protection as the rest of the Eleaf's line.

Thank you to everyone on this thread. This has been worrying me. If I decide to buy them each a Cool Fire 4, or an eleaf 30watt iStick, which of the tanks would you recommend for new users? Hoping of course that they don't break them. Do I have to worry about tank cracking juices? Are they top fill?

The Vapes that are round and thin don't look like they'd evolve into a vaper-to-be's collection the way an iStick could or a Cool Fire 4 can be used. I never tried the vape pen type of style.

So of course I can't give a Nautilus tank, which is bottom fill anyway. Which models of tanks are top fill, and easy to use? I know a lot of people have been changing to TC but is it still possible to buy eleaf GS air tanks or the TC equivalent? If it's an affordable tank, the way gs air tanks were priced I will get bottom filled tanks.

I hope this post isn't a confusing mess. Thank you so much.

If you wanna give your friends an easy to use and good stop-smoking device why not go with innokin endura T18 or T20 or T22. All three are super easy to use.
-Top fill
-Internal battery, so it's easy to charge (T18 and T20 need to be charged each day and T22 can go without charge couple of days.)
-Glas and metal tank so won't crack (if not dropped ofc, but not from e-juice)
-Good restricted airflow and can't be changed.
-nothing can be changed, just one button.
-cheap replacement coils, cost around $5 for 5-pack.
-replacement tank for T18/T22 cost around $10 (don't know price for T20)
-works with at least e-juice up to 70VG/30PG, so even good for ppl that have problem with PG.
-and last, the taste is really nice.

Just a couple of things I wanted to mention. The Nautilus X is top fill, top airflow, and doesn't leak. It also gives a very satisfying vape at low Wattage using the 1.8 Ohm atomizers. I recently recommended a Kanger Tech EVOD Pro V2 with 1.0 Ohm atomizers to my sister to start her off on vaping. It's similar to the Innokin Endura T22, but there are notable differences:

EVOD2: $23@MVS, 2500 mAh battery, battery state determines power, 1.0 atomizers are decent through the life of the battery, uniform cylindrical shape, AIO so the tank is part of the mod
T22: $31@MVS, 2000 mAh battery, device keeps a constant 14 Watts, I'm not familiar with the atomizers, has a 510 so you can swap out your tank

I've grown very attached to the Pico 75W. Replaceable batteries is a plus and it's a good size for pocket carry. If I know I'm going to be away from home all day or more I take the Alien 200W just because it uses dual batteries and it's not bad for pocket carry. Either way I try to keep a bottle of juice and spare batteries in my vehicle.

I liked the Pico so much I bought another one, as well as a Pico Dual. Around the house the Dual is a good mod. TC works very well and the dual battery triangular design is stable. It doesn't tip over when you reach for it. It can be a two day vape on a set of batteries.

Agree. The T18/T22 is designed specifically for people trying to quit cigs, and want mtl.

Just a quick note... Keeping spare batteries in the car is really only advisable in certain climates/seasons.... I live in Tucson and I'd be afraid to leave even the mod itself in the car for more than 2 minutes. Not sure how cold affects batteries, but the internal temp of my car sometimes reaches pretty insane temperatures under the right circumstances... :)
