You know how we are supposed to have emergency kits for hurricanes, floods, enemy attack etc? What should we stock up on in case our govt notices that all those smokers they used to rob in taxes are switiching to vaping? 8-o.

Is the juice the only thing that becomes illegal? If we wanted to stock up a little at a time does the juice have an expiration time, or can it be frozen for long term storage?

Is there anyone out there who is working on a home brew/backup plan so we can keep buying juiceless carts and batts? Or could it be worse than that, could the govt tax the this til we cant afford vaping either

If I sound like an addict, I am a V4L VK addict. I just love, love, love to vape! And Smilin Steve truly is da KING! It's been a little over a month since I received my VK and have never looked back after a full time habit since 1985. I have no desire to go back to analogs!

I makes me smell better, feel better, and SMILE :D much more!

I have gained so much from everyones info on this forum and was hoping you could help me out in the info dept again!

Thanks and Vape On!

Hi Shelley - I know where you are coming from because those are all my concerns as well. Especially now that I've found V4L - wanna be a lifetime customer for sure! I also have the extra concern with worrying about it crossing Customs when I order. :(
As far as juice goes, I used to think that was the only thing that they could make illegal and maybe in the States it will stay that way. But a friend and I placed a joint order from China a couple of months ago and it got rejected by Customs. Got a letter from Health Canada explaining why later - claiming both that the juice was seized because it was a 'prescription' drug but also because of the 'importation and/or sale of a medical device' without proper licencing. SO ... they rejected the parts as well. What a bunch of BS. I do worry that there will come a time when I cannot get things across the border and I'll be hooped. I don't want anything else but the VK now ...
In the meantime, am going to try stocking up as best I can. As far as DIY juices, from reading the forum threads on that, it seems pretty ... well, scary. Trying to mess around creating nicotine extracts from this and that sounds kind of risky. Don't know what to tell you except that I've just come to the conclusion that, if this all goes to hell in a handbasket, when I eventually run out of any supplies I have stockpiled, I'll either have to make the decision then to go cold turkey altogether or go back to the cancer sticks and just be grateful I had as much vaping as I did.
Sorry I couldn't supply you with any other info but I'm sure others here (from the States) may have some other suggestions.
In the meantime, happy vaping with the King! Isn't it fantastic!!!

I'm sort of un-informed regarding the banning of PV's... but is the gov't really in a place to do something like that? So many suppliers, and so much product coming in from every direction, it would seem it would take a long while before they regulated it all.

Right? ... Right?

I don't want to see it go under... it would be an evil thing to do!!!

Paypal has already pulled all US supplier accounts. Ebay has banned it. It's just a matter of time (short time, too) before it is totally banned. I would suggest getting a model with batteries that work in cameras like many of us have so at least the batteries won't be an issue. Then I would suggest stockpiling. Many members have 50-200 atomizers and 1000 - 3000ml of juice already on hand.

Good Luck

When you say atomizers you mean the 3 piece models that don't use cartomizers? Has anyone tried some of the sites directly from China to buy in bulk even if it a product inferior to VK it would be better than nothing. Perhaps an order smaller than what the suppliers are getting would slide through customs easier?

What about it Smilin Steve... Any chance you would make up emergency kits with the products described above? Please???

somewhere out there......
All these manufactures need to do is get them tested and get up to date on quality control so the FDA can approve them. The best route for these is to start making these VK's and cartomizers here in the states so the quality control is assured. Then the owners of the manufactures need to get there products tested and have studies done for short and long term effects.
And when the tests and studies prove these are safe the FDA will have no choice but to approve them. And if they don't then that's grounds for investigation. If a product is deemed safe by tests most of the time the FDA approves them.

Thanks everyone, my panic attack is starting to subside. I've done a little reading and found that USA made juice seems superior. I've only found one company with a patent going for FDA approval: Invisismoke. I wish I could invest if they pull this off because they will be swamped if they get the govt ok. Might be better for us too so we know whats in our juice. I mean, come on, we all know that many Chinese products aren't made with consumer health in mind. There are several USA juice makers, but I don't know what their FDA status might be.

I'm sure Steve :D will always have the best and purest available. But, just in case we have a lapse in product availability due to political reasons, I can sleep having a temporary back up plan.

If you read what the FDA allows in food processed here in the States you'd never eat processed food again. Many of the products from China are just as good or bad as ones made here in the States. It's not where things are made that is the problem. The problem is greed and profits. You find greed every where. China doesn't have exclusivity to that.

Didn't mean to single out China or offend anyone.

I live in the world of a mom with a toddler. 2 years ago there was lead found in multitudes of toys from China. The toys may have been just as good, but where we have uber-safety regulations, my experience was that China was one of those countries who don't. Has to toss all my daughters Dora stuff as I had a number of things found with lead based paint in my home. These were targeted at little kids who suck on toys:nah:It was creapy but just for people of my demographic.

Shelly,

I'm not Chinese, but my wife is.

What I said about greed is also the reason for the lead paint. When a company orders things manufactured by company overseas they give instructions on what and what not to use in the process. Some of these manufacturers cut corners and use cheaper stuff that contain bad ingredients to make the products cheaper so they make bigger profits.

I wasn't trying to make you feel bad. It happens all too often. Right now China has one of the cheapest labor markets in the world so most everything is manufactured there. So you hear and read about more bad things coming from China than you do other countries at the moment.
