Hi all!

I've only been vaping since 10/26, but analog free ever since!

A Kanger Mini Protank II with a 650mah Spinner by Smok was recommended to me. I've been pretty happy with the set up until this most recent sampler pack I purchased from Johnson's Creek. It's been messing with my wicks/coils something awful and ruining my experience. I'm expecting a sampler pack from another company today. I can't wait!

I have to admit I'm overwhelmed with all the varieties of PV's and juices. I'm a pretty simple gal and would like to find a PV juice combination that works and move on. It seems like the lifespan of the 650mah Spinner by Smok is quickly decreasing. Some of it could be related to the problem with juice/coils I'm currently experiencing.

I'm considering another PV set up, but tbh I'm not quite sure what's best. I'd say I have a moderate budget, I like the slim "sonic screwdriver" look of what I"m currently using.

I'm not sure I'd enjoy dripping and the bottom coil seems to make the most sense to me. Any suggestions for another PV set up?

I've seen people mention something about approved vendors listed somewhere on the forums, but I can't seem to find the right section. Maybe approved is the right word, recommended?

Welcome. The variety of PV's and juices can be alot to sift through, but take your time and don't be overwhelmed. Folks around here are great. Ask as many questions as you can.

As for another PV setup, I run Ego batts and PT2's myself, so I'm no help there ;) But its a great setup.

The link at the top that says "Forum Suppliers" may be what you are looking for. Hope that helps.

Hello! And Welcome!!!
I know you said that you like the sleek screwdriver look for your pv but I would consider the ITaste MVP 2. I have one and I, like you, upgraded from a 650 ego style battery. I actually won my MVP. It is not something that I would have bought because I did not want a box style mod. But I am SO glad that I won it!! It has been the most awesome set up ever! The battery last forever (like 2-3 days without a charge!) and it gives great vapor production! It also had variable voltage and wattage and is threaded for ego and 510 connections (which means it will work for most tanks and delivery systems. It also has a puff counter and an ohms reader. It also is a pass through battery so if you ever needed to you could charge it and vape at the same time. It also works as a charger for your cell phone or iPad/Pod/ Phone. this would be nice in an emergency if you lost power or got stuck somewhere without a charger. I am so happy that I got this little box mod!
I use my MVP with a Protank 2 because I like the way they work together. It comes with an iClear 30, but for me it was to harsh. There are lots of people who love the iClear but it's just not for me. Since you are already using a protank 2 that would be perfect.
Anyway, I just wanted to give you another option to consider. Like I said, I would have never bought the MVP on my own,, but I am SO glad that I got one.

Good Luck!!

one more thing- if you are considering the MVP 101vape has them for $39 right now (they usually run about $79). I bought a couple for some friends there.

Welcome!

First, congratulations on being analog free! That is a major hurdle for many, myself included.

Second, you didn't define "moderate budget", so I tried to keep all my recommendations under $100. If you like the setup you have, and it works for you, I would recommend something like this as a baby step up.

Mini ProTank Starter Kit

If you are looking for a great battery with variable voltage/variable wattage, plus and Ohms checker, I'd go for this kit:

Innokin iTaste VV V3 You will need tanks with it, and I would actually suggest 2 of these, one primary and one backup. As good as it is, it is NOT much bigger than your current battery (800mAh vs. 650mAh), but they are AWESOME (I have 2 myself and 2 of the previous version).

Now, if you are looking to pass up the eGo style all together and jump in to a bigger mod, check out the MVP 2.0, the Innokin VTR, or the Joyetech eVic, they are all supposed to be awesome! I can honestly say that I love my eVic, and my VTR arrives today, so I will see how it compares this weekend.

As for tanks, this is almost a like religious discussion, depending on who you talk to. I have found that the Protank II (like your current mini, only bigger) and the iSmoka BCC (mini and mega both) are fantastic, trouble free, tanks with inexpensive replacement coils. If you go with the PT II, then the same coils will also work in your current mini PT.

Anyway, good luck, HTH!

Devices with bigger batteries - some of us chain vapers need more time between charges. ;)

A 650 will last my GF 2 days - it will last me 6 hours.

After researching some of the responses here, it would seem I might need to go with a longer life device. The 650mah doesn't last me long. At first maybe a day, but currently I'm lucky if it last 6hrs :p

I have a spinner too - but it's a 1300. I can go a whole day without charging it - maybe a day and a half.

I would suggest an Innokin iTazte VV 3.0
They are pretty inexpensive on eBay. There is a new one they have now with extra rivets. The rivets re-enforce the battery and make it more durable if you drop it.

The starter kit has the tanks, the express kit doesn't. It's a good price too! I personally own 2 of these batteries and love them!
