SI recommends that you don't use passthroughs connected to the computer, and I agree. The rare times I use my X2 as a passthrough is when it's connected to a wall charger.

You probably know this already, but thought I would post it for others that may stumble across this thread.

i do know that,,,,i burnt my usb double stacked ports on the left side of my laptop, try to charge a cheap e-cig last march,,,so i'll never plug anything in to my puter again.

i use my wall charger plugged in to a cord on floor by my kitchen table,,it saves me a lot of walking in to the other room where i use to charge my bats.

As you can tell from my signature, I've been vaping for quite awhile now. I haven't been here on the forum for over a year, but decided to come back and see what's going on.

Most of my batteries were shot, so I ordered the 900mah X2 and 2 X2 clearomizers from SI. I've been vaping on it for 3 days now, and what a difference. It's been quite some time since I ordered anything -- I had around 20 batteries, mostly minis, and they're all shot. I was greatly surprised by the power this thing has. Vaped right out of the box for approx 12 or 13 hrs before I had to charge it, and I'm a heavy vaper. Funny thing is, while sitting here at my computer, I realized that the battery is actually a 650, not a 900. I was staring at it, thinking it didn't look long enough. So I took out my ruler and measured it. Yep, it's a 650. All I can say is WOW! I never expected this kind of power or life from a 650. I've emailed SI and asked for a $5 credit since I paid for a 900; I'm sure they'll work it out.

I refilled the 1st clearomizer around 6 or 7 times before I had to clean it, and it vapes like new again. I'll definitely be ordering another X2 and more clearomizers.

I'm a happy camper again. :vapor:

The manual X2's are great (although I did have one fail due to an internal short). Don't get the auto's though. I went through 6 auto's because the cutoff was way too short, only about 4-5 seconds. Smokeless Image was awesome in exchanging them though, the customer service is great! Vapor4Life also sells 3.5 ml and 6 ml dual coil carto tanks in low resistance which work awesome on the X2.

I forgot to add - the only negative to the X2 in my opinion is that it takes twice as long to charge a 650 mah X2 than it does my eGo X2.

Black Strat (great name, btw): How does your SI x2 compare in size (length & diameter) to your ego x2?
Is your ego one also 650 mah?

I don't think it will ruin the x2's. At least not as easily. However, they aren't designed to be used with those. The batteries may detect a short, it will reduce battery life as well as several other things I might be missing. Using LR stuff on the stick batteries could cause major problems.

Just got my silver x2's in. I now have 2 black and 2 silver. I love these things.

I get a 8 second draw off the x2s i have. If i do a full draw on my x2 the amount of vapor than comes out is a mini cloud of fog.

Maybe the batts vary a bit. I just wont do a manual. Last thing i want to do is push a button for adraw.

I also drip on my auto x2s for the last couple of months. Helps with diy testings. I have also dripped on my unsealed autos. Just dont dump the bottle on it. :)

I have two 650 Ego usb passthrough batteries (they charge like X2s). They are the same diameter as my X2s, but are about 1/4" shorter.

The only advantage I've found with the Ego batteries is that the button LED changes color depending on how much charge is left in the battery. The advantage if the X2 is the voltage. X2s are 3.7 volts and Ego batteries are 3.3 volts. Of course if you use a lower resistance clearo or carto on the Ego, it works about the same. I can't tell the difference between an Ego with a 2.4 ohm CE3 and an X2 with a 2.8 ohm CE3.

Oh....I forgot about the other big advantages of the X2s. They come in a lot more colors and sealed autos that work well:2c:.

Bummer! That's one on the reasons I switched to manual batteries after the clearos came out. I don't worry as much about getting liquid on that fragile battery post.

It was a manual. I was cleaning around the post... (reliving traumatic experience now 8-o). I prefer manuals too.

Sob. :( I destroyed my 900mah. Juice leaked on it and when I went to clean it I wrecked the centre post.

Now, rainbow or sky blue, rainbow or sky blue....
:matrix

Which one Neo, which one...

I have a skyblue X2 and I love it. It looks great with a blue clearo on it. I have the rainbow in a 78 and it's nice looking too. I just thought the rainbow would be too much in an X2, but that's just me! Let us know what you decide to get.....
