Until the dreaded FSC came about and totally changed my cigarettes into something that tastes like burning dung and makes you nauseous, I was a happy capri mentol light smoker. Capris are the worlds wimpiest cigarettes, 2 long filters, very little tobacco because they are super skinny. Pack said something like .5 nicotine. Now even the roll your own stuff is FSC, so I'm thinking its time for some vaping. However, when I look at e liquids and cartridges they all look really strong by comparison. Is this the case, anyone know? Or am I just not interpeting the information correctly.

Also, I am wondering which would be the slimmest e cig for someone on a tight budget (I have the Recovering-From-Christmas-Blues just now!)

Thanks
mystal

Thanks, Sign-man. That's about my price range for now, I've looked at it - honestly, I can't tell how big it is. I'd like something that sort of feels like what I'm used to, but its not my first concern so I'll probably get one.

My big concern will be not switching to vaping and suddenly using way more nicotine than I did before. It's looking like mixing my own liquid will be the deal, since so many places seem to think 11 is low. Though, I don't know how much difference it'll make in the end. Honestly I smoked the super wimpy ultra light of all time, but I smoked a Lot of them.

Before you buy 1 I would suggest that you look at different vaporizers in the reviews (I would suggest at least the D510 and the KR808d1) then compare these at multiple vendors before making a decision. You may also look at other newbie postings to compare to your needs. Some people will support 1 particular vendor and some actually have ties to a specific vendor ( I'm not saying sign man is) so it is best to research things for yourself.

Good advice, tarkus, thanks. I think my problem at this point is that I've done so Much reading and looking at different sites that I've gotten myself completely confused! I should have been making notes as I go. Between all the different models and the choices of eliquids, carts, etc its a bit overwhelming! (there is also that wicked part of me that's the kid-in-the-candy-store going 'I want that, and That, and that '.. too bad my budget can't take the strain!) :p

Hi mystal,

I use a 510 from cignot (I will continue to order from them, they are great) and I smoked 100's - The 510 is about the same length, but - don't expect it to *feel* the same. I don't think any e-cig would feel the same as an analog.

That said - I was shocked (and happy) to discover that I really took to the way the 510 feels, almost instantly! I even like to put the tip between my teeth, bite down on it a little and leave it there while I'm typing, reading, etc. - it's become very soothing! It's between my teeth as I type this

Have you thought about maybe ordering some 24mg e-liquid and then cutting it with 50% VG? That would give you about 12mg - you may lose some of the flavor, but it's something I'm going to try. VG is cheap, easy to get and will double the amount of your e-liquid while halving the cost. Perhaps, at the expense of the flavor, though  ?? I suppose that will depend on the flavors. I'm still in the learning curve and trying to figure out what I like best, etc.

I'm a menthol smoker and although I'm not even a full week into vaping, I've already figured out that if it's minty or *menthol-y* , my cravings are fully satisfied. Since menthol/mint is a pretty strong flavor I don't think cutting it (to lower the nic amount and double the amount of juice) will be that much of an issue for me at all. I'm hoping :)

Good Luck!!

I have no affiliation with cignot.com

It's just that I purchase almost everything online and prefer vendors who offer exceptional service.

I recommended the 510 because it is the only model I use.

There are lots of choices out there and by all means research your purchase before spending your limited resources.

I'm sure you will enjoy vaping over smoking.

Some vendors have what they call doublers. This is 0mg nicotine liquid that you can mix the same flavor of a higher nicotine liquid to reduce the amount of nicotine to your desired level and not dilute the taste. There is also a calculator on a spreadsheet that will tell you how much liquid to mix to get your desired level here on the forum as well

Personally I use volcano/blu (l88b)..( buy from volcano)
I use it because it's the smallest and has the most style IMO..
I also own a 510 which is a photo finish 2nd for me

but With proper mods and juices the l88b is awesome (out of the box - not so much)

and I buy my juice from esmokey treats, great shipping/cust serv.
And they have the best menthol I've trident so far.

(I'm not affiliated with any of these companys)

Take alook around in these forums tho..
LOTS of helpful people.. And ANYTHING your looking for ecig related can be found here (reviews, where to buy, what to buy, etc..)
keep in my mind tho everyone dances to their own beat :)

back on topic...
I use to smoke marboro menthol ultra lights (.9mg per cig I think) and 18mg was a close match with throat hit taste and nic level..
Hope that helps :)

I just had a look at the KR808d1 - can the atomz be topped off or refilled?
Yes, they can. There's a bit more of a trick to it than with, say, the 3-piece (cartridge+filler/atomizer/battery) models like the 510, 901, or 801.

But the convenience of having cartomizers (the all-in-one atomizer and cartridge+filler) is great, and you can fit up to ~1ml of liquid in it. (Lots of tips here and videos on Youtube on how to refill cartomizers.)

(I actually prefer to buy blanks in bulk and fill them with my own liquid rather than buying prefilled, which can add up at ~$10 a five-pack.)

I take it you're looking at PureSmoker (good seller from everything I've heard) since they call their prefilled cartomizers "Atomz". The KR808d-1 is a good model to start with, as is the 510.

Thanks, Madame Psychosis! I like the idea of cartomizers, because of the new atomizer with each one. At first I thought I just wanted to buy something I could snap on the thing and have done with it but there are so many possibilities I've already decided that buying blanks and mixing my own is the way to go - more control.

Edited to add: I'm not finding blanks for that model online though, maybe I'm not entering the right thing in google. Where do you buy yours?

Hi there...

I just got my first e-cig in the mail today and tried it out. I got a Joye 510 from Cignot in a starter kit and it came with 5 pre-filled cartridges at 25mg of nicotine. I must not be used to so much nicotine because I have a helluva buzz from it right now! Yikes! I smoke about 10 to 12 Swisher Sweet cigs a day. I thought those were pretty strong but this is noticeably stronger.

I will be ordering lower nic doses!

Regarding mentol taste: I never smoked anything else if I could help it, but when I vape, I use lots of different flavours, with mint always being near, but that's not half what I vape, and even less menthol.

So don't expect to necessarily stick with those tastes.

I always smoked menthols - and am completely addicted to mint anything.. (smoking capri menthols with 3 altoids in my mouth wasn't uncommon) but I did just order one menthol/mint blend. I decided to try some other flavours as well. The only thing I can't imagine vaping is fruity flavours. I may break down and try some later on as my juicy stash grows though

Metsy - 25 sounded like something that might overbuzz me, too. I ordered liquid and glycerin though so I can play around and see what works for me to keep me off the analogs And off the ceiling!

Good idea Mystal! I'm gonna play with it for a day or so and then order some extras. Thanks!
