hello all, im wondering if i can use a LR Atty on a Silver Bullet at 6v's.....if so, how does it perform? any other info would be awesome....cheers from Buffalo
Never gets old...my SB should be here tomorrow, and i have a bunch of LR Attys for my MKII and Tornado/eGo : im assuming that once i vape the SB, the others wont get much use at home, although vaping the SB at work might be a bit ridiculous....
Now with that out of the way... yeah LR Atties really can't handle High voltages... you won't shoot your eye out,, but the atty is more than likely to blow....since more power is going to it
I did just that, by mistake of course. I didn't realize I grabbed a LR atty and put it on my Thermo (6V???). Pop, pow, bang. Should have saved it for New Years Eve. Dead (to say nothing of the burnt mouthful).
With a true 3.7V device KR8, or a mod running a 3.7V (14500 eg.) a regular 510 atty works fine. With a regular 510 batt, mega or eGo/etc. an LR atty works great although for reasons that they'd cause you to go through regular 510 batts and likely megas too, they aren't recommended for them but I use them (so does DC2) - best vapor for a mega - it's just not going to last as long. With a 6V you're going to burn out most 'regular atty's' the 801 being your best choice. But with the 510 and 901 and even the 801 you'll need HV attys.
