Low Resistance, High Current On a Provari

Hello Everybody,

I recoiled today a vivi nova (i used 2 pieces of wire - 32 kanthal + 32 nichrome (twisted)...

This little DIY gives me a ton of vapor and with 2.9V on my Provari V2, with resistance 0.8, generates 3.6-3.7 amps.

How safe is that and how does it impact battery or PV? I wonder if its actually draining it more?

something doesnt seem right as the provari has a 3.5 amp limit. are you sure this is what it is running at?

but no if it is in operation range it will not "hurt" anything. but higher resistance at higher voltage produced less amperage and should in theory help the battery last longer.

Yes a twisted wire the same length as a single wire will half the resistance and it will draw more current and drain battery quicker.

it will give you an error code if you try to go over the amp limit so no worries, trust me this happens to me all the time, i just go up to where it gives me the error, go down a bit and im set.

From what I understand its not an exact limit, so the 3.6 amps isnt so bad. That is around 10 watts, so the battery drain shouldn't be too bad...
