I've been making wicks and coils for about 8 months now (Line V2 with stainless steel, 400 mesh wicks), once in a while I just nail it and it lasts a month or more, but often times it just doesn't produce a lot of vapor and it feels very "wet" - if that makes sense?
I know it's not a short, lately I've been wrapping my wicks in a very small amount of cotton. The first time I used the cotton it worked amazingly. It gunked up pretty fast so I replaced the coil. Now I just can't get it right.
So anyway, what could it mean when it's not producing a lot of vapor? It almost seems like the coils are too saturated, when my Line runs down to about half full it seems to work a little better, or when I heat the coils for a long time. I don't get it because my wick is the same as it was and I'm using barely any cotton at all. Could this happen if the coils are too tight?
It's getting really frustrating, especially because the coils seem good, there are no shorts and wicking seems good.
Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on what could be causing this? I'm missing something but I just can't figure it out..
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
