Low Wattages For The TFV8 Cloud Beast

Hi, I bought a baby beast awhile ago and I really like it. I'm considering buying the TFV8 cloud beast as an upgrade. Problem is I don't like high wattages... I don't like to go above 35 watts. Is it possible to have a good vape with the tfv8 at this low wattages or should I just stick to my baby beast?
I had the tfv8 and tried running it at low wattage and it just doesn't work. It started getting good at the 60w mark and above. The big baby would be the go or get use the RBA head for the tfv8 then you can vape at whatever wattage you make your build for.

When I was using the Cleto tank with coils at 0.15 I found it hard to get a satisfying vape below 40 watts, and 40 was really pushing it. I think it would be hard to get those coils vaping well in your current wattage range.

You could certainly try it, and if it doesn't go well use the RBA deck, although IMO, if you go that route, you might better be served with just buying an RTA that's easy operation with even a single build deck, that has the reputation for good clouds and flavor, I say this only because I feel that using a tank designed for coils you build yourself tends to be easier than an included RTA or RBA deck--- the tanks aren't exactly designed for that, and often the build deck is pretty small as it's sort of "retrofitted" if that makes sense, to the tank that's pretty much been designed for drop in coils. If you like what you are using now for drop-ins, that makes a lot more sense to me, might want to take a look at the RTA/RBA section of the forum, to see what's out there, how people are liking it, and how the RTA performs....

Just my opinion of course, but I found that those really low resistance setups do require higher power levels to perform usefully. They also tend to blow through juice, which may or may not be an issue for you. :)

I have the TFV8 Big Baby Beast which I use with the RBA Deck, it comes with dual SS Clapton coils total .40 ohms. I use it in temp mode, 330 F 30 W preheat. I never liked buying coils and always went with the RBA's.
Wait, you mean the preinstalled coils in the rba deck are SS claptons 0.0 (if so they're advertised both on the box and smok's website as .3 0hms) been wanting to try them in temp though i didn't thought they were usable in that manner.....

I have the big baby beast here and like the above comment from steve said it won't really work, those tanks are made for higher wattage and clouds, if you really want to use it get the rba and build accordingly.
The Big Baby Beast has lower wattage coils available than the TFV8 Cloud Beast: Baby Coils listed below with wattage ranges. I believe the TFV8 Cloud Beast Coils are larger and wont fit the Baby tanks

Big Baby Beast Coils

  • Quad Coil
  • Double Barrel Design

  • 0.15Ω (30W - 70W / BEST 45W - 60W)
V8-Q2 Specifications:

M2 Specifications:
  • Single Barrel Design
