Ok, another (possibly stupid) question. If I get "unflavored" juice at 0mg or say 3 mg, how do I know how much to add to my 18 mg liquid - is it a few drops, a certain measure depending on the size of the bottle, etc? I have a LOT of 18 mg liquid right now - some I can toss, but others are my "go to".
Just as an example,if you wanted to cut your 18mg down to 12mg,you would use 20ml of the 18mg and 10ml of unflavored 0 nic to get it to a 30ml bottle of 12mg juice. There are a bunch of juice calculators,i use one called ejuicemeup, you would put your 18mg juice as the nicotine, then set what mg you want it to be,and it will tell you how much of everything to get it there.Keep in mind though, that cutting the juice will also cut the flavor down,so if you like the flavor the way it is,you could get the same juice in 0 nic,and cut it that way.

Thank you - that is very helpful - I will get the juice in the same flavor at 0 and cut it that way. I'll look for a juice calculator app - thanks again!

if you go from a 1.8 coil to a 1.2 coil using the same wattage, the only difference you will most likely feel is a slightly quicker vape if both coils are of the same gauge. now if the gauge on the 1.2 coil is a thicker wire, then you can vape it at a higher wattage, which in turn might compensate the difference in nic.( hard to say) ///personally I feel no difference in nic feel vaping a .8 coil compared to a 1.5 coil if using the same wattages, the difference comes into play as you increase the power.

I have tried to vape at higher wattage with lower ohm coils and it never seems to work. Tastes burnt. I think it's because my nic level is too high (at 18 mg). I bought some 12 mg liquids - still waiting for them - hopefully lowering the nic will help

I don't think it's the nic, but more to do with wire gauge and airflow. I started vaping 24mg and 6 years later I still vape 24mg... when increasing power, you need a tank that can handle that power and a coil . Both need to be dialed in to use that power correctly. I vape 24mg at an average of 25 watts in rebuildable single coil rta's like the gem, erlkonigin, aqua and kayfun mini 3 and they all do a great job. I really don't vape pre made coils , (although i have tried them) . Now my wife vapes a nautilus mini which uses a pre made coil and with that, upping the power would definitely make it taste bad or burnt because those coils and the devices airflow just cannot handle it. Rebuildables are another thing all together, they just perform on another level imo compared to pre mades and you can just dial everything in. I think the main thing with trying to reduce nic is keeping that throat hit, if your able to retain that TH while reducing nic, it's alot easier. Rebuildables like the km3, have great warmth to them and along with you being able to build yourself, you can dial things in better. Also increasing pg will help with Th

But I have different ohm attys - I have .5, 1.0, 1.2, 1.5, and 1.8. I've tried all of them. The only one that worked was .5 ohm with a 6 mg liquid that I got at a local shop - in fact I got the subtank there too. I've never heard of the tank - Just says Super Tank on it. I bought 3 bottles of 6 mg liquid in different flavors. 2 went in the garbage! Anyhow, it worked but the draw was WAY too airy for me - I prefer a tighter draw.

I found the tank - it's the Super Tank by Tobeco.

Tbh I'm not that versed on those coils or those kind of tanks, what I do know is that people do reduce their nic with sub ohm tanks like the .5 coil your talking about and those airy tanks. I guess it's something to do with the higher power and more airflow that reduces the need for nic.

Good idea and I hadn't thought of that - 0mg juice to dilute - any reason why it should be VG? I tend to vape 50/50.
You can get VG on the First Aid aisle at your local Walmart. I get mine in the Health and Nutrition section of my local Grocery Store. It's usually right next to the grapeseed oil near the aroma therapy supplies. I get it cheaper there than any I could order online.

I found out for myself and that I Vape roughly the same amount of NIC either way. 4 MLS of 24mg per day on my 1.5ohm coil which is96 mg of NIC or 15mls of 6 mg which is 90 mg per day. About the same either way. The lower the ohm, the less NIC you need as it atomises better being more efficient. Hope this helps.

Wow, so you would vape a 15 ml bottle at 6mg in one day? Ok, I'll be happy if I can get down to 12mg which is what I started at 4 years ago.

I have been vaping 12mg at 0.2ohms but only because I was waiting for a batch of juice to arrive. While I wouldn't recommend it in the long run if you regulate your inhales in short burts you can get away with it. Just watch your intake level and allow a 2-3 minutes for the nic to hit before hitting too many times.

I use 12mg in a 0.3 ohm aura express kit it's all about the device. ..
Pretty much same here.I run 12mg with .3-.4 ohm coils in everything i have.My all day tank is my Griffin running at .36 ohms.Alot depends on the person and what their individual tolerance is.For a long time,my all day setup was an Rda at .4 ohms with 18mg haha.

Everyone is different... I get that part.

I vape 12mg with a 50/50 mix on a ~2 ohm coil, and trust me on this, I can make it produce more throat hit than you can handle. There are a lot more factors to consider than just nicotine content, pg/vg ratio & coil resistance. Everything from airflow to chamber diameter makes a difference. Different flavorings will make a difference. Even the type of drip tip used can make a difference.

The bottom line has never changed since the day vaping was invented. Play around with whatever you choose to use until you find the combination that satisfies your individual needs.
