So are these anything at all like the Gold V2 510's, or are they a 510 version of the 808D Mega? Anyone had a chance to try these out?

I'm trying to decide if I should pick up a few or more than a few..
Hey Dude,
It's hard to say which is better as pretty much anything anyone Ever tells you is opinion based. I Love the Gold V2 on 5V and the MEga 510 (which is made from the Mega 808) on 3.7V.
I always say to start off with one to a few to test the water first. Not every ocean is warm ;)

On my 3rd day with my first 510 LR mega carto using Caramel tobacco <BM> 80pg/20vg home mixed.

Have to say that I was somewhat surprised at the warm vapor from these, being that it's long I was figuring it would be on the cooler side but glad that it's not.

I'm blown away with the amount of vapor it puts out WOW! believe this might be the most vapor I have gotten out of any carto that I have tried.

And the flavor is fantastic, at first I was getting a bit of an odd or possibly a burnt taste but that was gone after 15 min or so vapeing. This could have also been due to me rushing too much, must admit that I had to try these quick so on the next one it will sit for awhile after filling to see if that will avoid it.

Have noticed that it tends to progress to a stiffer draw after 5 or so hits but loosens back up between sessions, which somewhat reminds me of hitting a cigar a bit too much and is a welcome effect.

Anyway, another FANTASTIC job Isaac! These will be taking the drawer away from another lesser than perfect product. Keep up the good job.

I don't really get into low voltage vaping but I ordered some of these to try because, to be honest, it was the only thing in stock I could find. Just Kidding but I couldn't resist that little jab. These are great. They hold juice forever and the vapor, taste and throat hit is saweeeet. They are very nice ascetically too. I had to look because at first I thought they were some kind of plastic. I have already promised one to an 808 vaper I know I started vaping it at 3.7 volts and I am now at 3.37 volts. It is still performing great at that setting.

I grabbed 5 of them for testing. If they're anything like the 808's, I'll love 'em. I run the Gold V2's at 4.5 - that seems to be the spot for my favorite juice. I can't believe that by the time I read the tweet, and got to the site, there were only 29 of the V2's left.... that was quick. Got 20 and figured I'd leave some for someone else. That'll hold me over for a while anyway.

I got a MAP tank last week. Tested it for 4 days. It will be in the classifieds tomorrow. Nothing against the tank itself, but the E2's *suck*. Period. 2 out of the 3 I cut open had rust in them, and it's really too much of a hassle even if you get a good one. At some point during the day as you're vaping, the coil will gunk up and you will get a mouthful of something close to burning hair. You won't see it coming. You will cough. You will make a face that you don't want others to see. You will use foul language. 'nuff said.

I just laughed so hard at this. I hate the E2's. I tried 15 of them and then gave up.

Burn me once shame on me, burn me twice shame on you. I tried up to V3 and V3 was the worst. I have signed off on them period. Now RS has come out with their own version of the MapTank.

The closest I have come to wrt a tank system has been the eGo T. That being said even that has its draw backs although it is too early to tell. I have tried and made bottom feeders, nope not for me.

I do believe though by the end of 2011 we will see something... because lets face it, there is just to many imaginative folks out there. The better mouse trap is on the horizon. I believe it will be a combination of many innovations combined into one package.

2010 has seen the Darwin (wattage controlled) soon we will see the Eclipse with its integrated juice feeder system. These are all great devices. The Achilles heel they are electronic devices. The Darwin and Provari has had some serious hickups and this has been in only a short period, the Eclipse has yet to be released.

Being a former Control Tech, the more complex a control system (although it has many attributes) the more complex and labour intensive it is to maintain. It also goes without saying the more components a system has, the more can go wrong. I am not bashing electronics, mechanical components will wear as well. Electronics on the other hand can fail for a variety of reasons, and hence why it is the Achilles heel in a PV.

If we take the simple eGo batt, where it is the mofset that fails in most cases rendering the batt totally useless.

I hope you're wrong about the Provari... It's what I've got. No issues so far. I mean, relatively speaking, isn't it a simple device? A PIC (or some type of tiny microcontroller), a little led system, a buck boost circuit, a battery, and a pushbutton - wrapped in a pretty case. I've dropped this thing and seen it bounce off of concrete (more than once ) , and it didn't even get a scratch let alone a dent.

I can see where there will be all kinds of issues when "juice pumping" systems are introduced into the mix, tho. I can't wait to see the results of some of those.

Wrt the Provari, I only report what I see. Everyone loves the device but there are indeeds some buggs that require to be addressed. This is not a knock on the device, but the more complex you make it, the more chances something can go wrong. There have been several E8 error messages reported = return to shop for an engine change.

I saw those posts too. I can only say that I hope it doesn't happen to me....

One thing I found out on these and I don't know if it's all of them but the first one I filled I was in a hurry so I put juice in it and give it the Taryn spin. It seemed to need refilled very quick and would only hold 20 drops on refill. The next one I let sit and it is working great. I think the spinning compacted the filler into the bottom of the tube, So to the spin fillers I would recommend not.

I did a taryn spin on my first one and had the same issue. I grabbed some tweezers and was able to gently pull the filler up a bit and it seems to be fine now.
