LR 801 "Semi" atties

Damn those box mods look gorgeous....... Where do you get em? I would love one that took a 18650 battery ( the new 2900 mah AW protected).... you are one lucky dude.

The one on the left is from R&R and the one on the right is my personal favorite, the Phidias by Fonosmoak (Fono for short, LOL). You can find threads for both of them on the suppliers forum. R&R opens up ordering for a mad dash sale when they clear out their backlog so you have to watch the thread closely. Fono takes custom orders during certain times (check the Phidias thread) and will usually have 30 or so units for sale via direct email inquiries and the thread every couple of weeks. I love the Phidias and custom ordered both of them to get specific woods and to get left-handed versions (my second is being built as we speak). There are lots of fans of both mods so acquiring them can take some luck.

switch , next to the phidias your box holds up extremely well. most things next to fono's work look terrible. your very talented....so are you gonna list these attys isaac or will there be a delay waiting for the respec'd mini's? I mean if 10 or so of these mini's were to fall off the truck on the way back to slb and end up in my shopping cart, I wouldn't be mad..lol. good thing these last a long time or I would be worried. unlike angus I do not subject my attys to capitol punishment. I have been known to make an example of one in front of the others but nothing as final as death.

ok folks mwa sent me here to find out info on the mini 2 ohm 801. are they coming in soon i see they are out of stock now/ all this talk i gotta get me some. and mwa telling me he is in heaven every day with these doesnt help me any by not having them. he is just busting chops as he and i are good friends. So everyone here is happy with these mini's i guess? Thanks for any input. my favorite right now is using a 510 regular atty and a 306 reg atty and vaping at 5 volts or a bit less around 4.5 or so.
but being the mini 801 is a LR doesnt my voltage have to be set less than 4.4 or so? i have never used a LR atty on anything above 3.7volts cause i thought 3.7v was all we could use for LR attys so i guess i heard wrong?
So what would be best for me liking 5 volts. a LR 801 2.0 ohm Mini or HV/LR 801 2.5 ohm Semi ? Thanks for any help.

cos I would use the semi801 at 5.0v. your wattage will be about the same ballpark. either one for whatever range you decide will perform extremely well. I have both and use them daily.

i was the same way, thought 801's were old school and only used the 501 n 306's. but honestly...these 801s are really unlike anything I have used, just tried a lr1.5ohm 801 yesterday in comparison to the 2.0 mini, no comparison. the draw was the "noisy" 801 draw but that is where the similaritys ended.

Time to rejuvenate an old chart. This should help folks with their decisions. Most devices actually drop between 0.3 - 0.5V under load. When I match equipment with devices I am for wattage these days. My sweet spot is between 6-8 watts.
