On Litecig's site, they put disclaimers on the LR attys that says: "DO NOT use these atomizers on any passthrough or regular or mega batties, you will ruin the atomizer and the passthrough or battery."

I was trying to save some money and looking to just buy the eGo passthrough battery and all the necessities without buying the whole kit. I've been recommended this atty but wanna make sure it's fine. I'm sure it would work fine when it's NOT plugged in. Having it plugged in is what worries me.

Thanks for the heads up! I just got a LR atty and thought it might be really great to try on my ego passthru. Now I won't. I ordered in white as not to confuse it with my regular ones, which are black. The passthru is great when reading all the helpful info on ECF.

Buying a different color was smart! Unless their actually marked with LR on the connection band, they're almost impossible to distinguish from a regular atty. I see lots of people saying that they're using LR with the Riva/eGo batts and I want to warn them off, but they think I'm full of crap because they haven't had any problems...yet. If you search around the forums there are plenty of threads explaining the problems with LR attys and mosfet type batteries.

Jiggity, I'd pick up a spare battery just in case. If all hell should break loose with that battery (the USB stops working, the battery fails for whatever reason) you'll be in a world of hurt until you get a replacement. That's why I have 4 Riva batts and 2 eGo 900mahs, 25 regular attys and 10 eGo Mega attys. Yeah, sounds like overkill, but I won't be put out by anything going bad on me.

Yeah that's what i'm thinking about also. Maybe I'll probably pick up one of the LF Rivas for 29.99 too. Maybe it's OCD, but for some weird reason, black and gold just doesn't go well for me. I'm looking around my room and see nothing but black and silver, I kid you not... never really thought about it till now. Too bad LF is sold out on the Matte eGos.

Janty designed the ego and says that you can use LR atomizers with them. Joye builds the ego to Janty specs, so I assume the same holds true there as well. The passthrough is the same as an ego battery except it has a usb connection so that you can charge via usb and vape at the same time.

I have said, and will continue to say, that the extremely vast majority of problems that I have seen relating to problems between LR atties and batteries are with ego knock offs like the Riva.

Do you honest think that something like the Riva, which offers a larger battery at a reduced price is using the same quality components?

Janty says LR is fine and they sell LR atomizers. Unless I lose a battery (which I've had no problems at all so far, nor has anyone else that I know using a genuine ego and LR) I hold the position that LR is fine, and provided for a much enhanced vaping experience.

I use LR atomizers on my ego and Riva. Even if I go through a few more batteries than normal (and I haven't lost one yet) it's worth the satisfaction to me and still a far cry from the cost of cigarettes. I wouldn't say absolutely don't use them but I would say that you should realize that you probably will shorten the overall lifespan of your batteries.
