Hey guys,

So it seems like I have been having some issues with my center pins as of late. First it was the 306 (which I still have not seemed to fix) and now it is my 801 mini atomizers. I have used three different ones on the Chameleon with the native 801 threading. Man, these things really vape like a dream.

So the atomizers seem to work just fine for about two days until the center pin eventually gets depressed and it no longer makes contact & it will no longer fire on my lizard. Just tonight this happened to me for the third time and it is frustrating. I cannot get the to stay in position after pulling it up with a paper clip and I just don't know what else to do. I really am trying not to screw them onto the device too tightly... just enough to make contact.

Another intresting observation: The standard size LR801 atomizer does not seem to have this issue at all, I have used it on my Chameleon now for a total of a few weeks and the center pin has not depressed. I have also noticed that some of the 801 mini atomizers tend to be very, very leaky while other ones do not seem to leak at all. This is with 70%VG and 100%PG liquids. Some leak, some don't.

Any ideas? :(

I have had one that recently quit because of center pin issues. It was one that I was using interchangeably while testing the 308s prior to shipping them out. The remainder have all run fine. Mind you the ones I normally use remain on the device. The center pin should not move up unless it is being put on and taken off etc... Are you using them alternatively on another device? Wrt leaking, yes Isaac and the factory knows about this and hopefully the problem will be fixed prior to next batch. FWIW the only atty I had that didn't leak while dripping was the original version of the 801 shorty. We get spoiled don't we :)

Ah well I seem to have pinpointed the problem then...

Before dripping I always remove the atty. I drip and then place the atomizer on it's side while it is disconnected from the device. I will give it a minute or two to soak in the liquid then put it back on. I do this only with my 801's to prevent leaking, otherwise it will be a huge mess. As I said eairler, some of them are very prone to leaking for whatever reason.

So if constantly removing and replacing causes this issue, is there any way around? Is there any way to fix the center pin?

I was having the same issue of connection not being made eventually with use. I have since started using an adaptor and leaving that permanently on my device to reduce the chance of pin movement (and poss thread damage) issues.

All my devices are native 510 connection with a 510-->801 atty adaptor. This has made juice leak clean ups more favorable (keeping out of the area of the device connection), as well as reducing the chance of cross threading.

And yes, I too find the latest batch of 801 shorties more prone to leaking than the originals... but nothing a quick wipe doesn't fix up and certainly not a bother enough to not want to keep using these awesome tasting & vaping atty's !

Hope you get your issue worked out....

Greg
