Lung Busting?

My wife & I just recieved our first VK,s (Probably as I was writing my first posting yesterday. UPS didn't even knock. I probably could have been vaping instead of posting) But I think I might have biffed on my order. I was a loyal Newport smoker and ordered the 24mg menthol carts. I don't seem to be able to take a full draw without my lungs protesting. Is this something that has to run its course or should I lower the dosage, or should I try a combo with another juice...... HELP. On the other hand, the shipping was FAST, and thanks so much for the extras!!!!!!

The menthol ones are very strong. Probably the 16s would be more then enough, maybe even lower. I would try ordering a pack of 16 and a pack of the 11 and see which you prefer. In the meantime, take softer shorter draws so you don't get so much at one time.

You remember when you first started smoking analogs, and you'd cough, blanch and some even barfed? And you went back..and you went back again, and you kept at it till you could suck that foul smoke down with a smile on your face and never bat an eye!

We all probably remember those days, and ask ourselves wtf is wrong with us?

Vaping, like smoking, affects everyone differently. I can, and did, take a monster double hit power drag off of 36 cappuccino, on film no less. If i had tried that the day I started vaping, I'd be asking your question now. I'd definately tone down the MG level of that cartomizer, and remember that just like smoking, you gotta adapt a little to the PG. Once you do, as I have, you wonder how you ever smoked.

Another idea, if youre just tryin to get off analogs first and enjoy it later, would be to get an aggressively overpowered nic content in a gentle (super gentle) container...say 36 french pipe or coconut. It's not menthol, but its smooth as silk..no razor blades, no barbwire, just creamy goodness. Dont powervape it tho or the world will shrink, trust me on this, thats some manly stuff.

This might seem noobish as I'm pretty new to this vaping myself, not even a month in, but it's worth a shot.

Are you direct inhaling or are you filling your mouth up with vape then inhaling? I find that if I inhale directly I cough a bunch, but if I fill up, then inhale, I'm fine.

I have always drawn into my mouth then inhaled it. I guess I am a wuss, I did that with analogs also so it is second nature to me. In fact, until I started vaping and reading this board, I didn't realize that anybody just took it all in directly lol!

I was a Marlboro smoker for 17 years and the 18mg/ml juice gives me cough fits.The 16 in any flavor is just perfect for me.

So I guess try a lower dosage and see.

99.9999999999999999999999% of all analog smokers drag a mouthful and then inhale, I'd never heard of anyone smoking *tobacco* any other way..although from cheech and chong movies i can infer that it's not the only way.

Then I must be the .00000000000001% LOL! I can't mouth inhale if my life depended on it. I tried when starting PV's because I was coughing, but still couldn't do it. The coughing went away after a few days and now that I'm smoke free, I'm shocked at the amount of time I can inhale since my lungs feel better!

Back in the early 60's trying to save money back then, I purchased a system to roll my own in a little contraption that worked really well. Trouble is that even back then I smoked nearly 60 cigs a day so I spent most of my time on that rolling contraption and had to throw it out. Sounds a lot like the time some people are spending with their 510s and not enjoying the vape.

Just yesterday Smoke Assassin started advertising on Atlanta radio. Hope nobody gets sucked into that scam. Rally sleazy operation.

Trouble is that even back then I smoked nearly 60 cigs a day so I spent most of my time on that rolling contraption and had to throw it out. They've been around for a very long time. They may have been among the very first e-cig companies out there. Slick WEB site. They try to hook you on a free starter kit for $9.99 shipping but their stuff isn't all that good and they don't stand behind any of it. and it's $$$$$$

Had a friend buy it some years ago and got ripped off royally. How else would they be able to afford radio advertising?

Haha! I was the life of the party! Some of my guy friends figured it out and would blow the smoke in my face because they thought it was funny to see me asleep on the floor while everyone else was having fun. I'm very grateful that they were stand up guys; at least I picked my friends well!

Very much yes. Too tight, too loose...and rollin your own cigs are like that too..oh wait, that was the subject in the beginning, but i digress.

Yeah, rolling your own cigs is a problem asking for a solution that never comes :/ kinda like the 901...when you finally get it right you spend the rest of your life tryin to make it do it again.
