Yes it surely is very cold. :( Just not quite ready for this yet.

I had that once. Many years ago. Just woke up one morning and my neck was frozen....and severe pain.
I couldn't get out of bed by myself, or drive, or really much of anything by myself.

    Goodness girl!!!

Well I did get up out of bed by myself, drove to work ... by myself ... and worked all day

    But yeah, it hurts :)

Gosh my internet (or the forum) is super S L O W tonight. :(
Think I'm going to go get my bath and maybe it will be better when I get back. :)
Huh  Mine is fine, maybe you need to clear your browser

Alice Springs Chicken, with broccoli. It was pretty darn good. I even liked the honey mustard sauce that came with it.
I got it on the side because I was afraid I wouldn't like it, but I ended up getting a second sauce.

Sounds good but I'm hoping for a little steak myself

    Enjoy your bath :)

Well, just so you know....there IS another level to it then. I seriously could not move. I really felt paralyzed.
I'd been having trouble with my neck, and was already going to the chiro regularly. So I called them first....didn't even want to call the doctor and have to go for the $$ tests. I knew that my chiro wouldn't lead me astray, and would make me go to the dr. if that's where I truly needed to go. So it all turned out okay, but it did give me quite a scare.

I needed help getting out of bed for two days. I couldn't pull my head up by myself. My muscles were too jammed tight. :(

It's running better now. Not sure what the deal was a few minutes ago.

Yep, I'm off. If I miss you sweet dreams.

    Yeah, it wasn't fun.

That did actually happen to my mom. Her first morning home from the hospital after she'd been in a pretty bad car accident.
Dad and I left. I had driver's ed first thing, she was still sleeping when we left. We came home at lunch, and she was still in bed....crying

She had a broken neck, but we didn't know it at the time (long story, radiologist misread her xrays ;) ) but she didn't have the strength to raise her head up either. She was even able to get her knees on the floor and try to push herself up off the bed, but she couldn't....then somehow she got herself back into bed.

Yep it was not good. We felt oh so horrible, but we didn't know. She eventually healed from all that, but it was a very long road.

I hope they do that brown bread for lunch :?:
I would imagine that they will. I had a piece of that too. :D

Two teas, and I didn't even think about theirs would have caffeine in it....I could NOT get to sleep last night. It was after midnight before I finally dozed off. :( I surely won't make that mistake again. Since I do decaf tea, I really don't get much, if any caffeine, so I was wide awake.

I guess in all fairness to the radiologist, he wouldn't have expected her neck to be broken where it was, which is why he prob missed it.
Her C2 vertebrae was cracked horizontally. C2 is what breaks (generally) when someone hangs themselves, or it can be broken in a severe whiplash type scenario...which was what happened in her case in the accident. Well, you don't survive a C2 break. At least that's what her physical therapist told her.

When she went to her initial visit with him, he told her to come in and sit down. That they needed to have a chat because he didn't really know how he was going proceed with treating her because people don't survive with the break that she had.

You know, I'm sorry...I said it broke horizontally...it fractured vertically....horizontally is when there is instant death because your spinal cord is injured if that happens, and that is where your breathing is controlled. Sorry. I had that backwards. ;)

Busy day....and COLD!! Oh MY it's cold here. 36 on my way home...about mid 20's this morning.

I'm having tomato soup. :D But no grilled cheese. (Sorry Dale.)

Dale, sorry your neck is so stiff and hurting. :(

Chim, glad you and Reggie got to spend the afternoon together.

Shad, did you get your coffee? Hope the last part of the week is calmer than your first part has been. :)

    Hey Lori:wub:
I bet it is cold there! I saw that there's already been quite a bit of snow in some parts of the Midwest.
    Did you guys get any?
The temperature is set to drop here over the next couple of days so it's going to be even colder. I'm not ready:(

DD is taking me to the OutBack for lunch tomorrow!! :w00t:

I've never been there for lunch before :?:
They used to only open from 4 p.m. til like 10 p.m.

Just thought I'd share that with you all

Ooooh! That sounds good! I haven't been there in ages!

Well it's great that she survived it even if it did take a long time to heal :)

I had a good friend (preacher's wife) who broke her back jumping off a cliff into the water  Landed wrong
She was in a LOT of pain for a really long time :(

    Hey there!!
No snow yet. Possibly light snow this weekend, but I don't think anything major at all. Thank goodness!!

It was good. The chicken was just okay, I mean, it's grilled chicken. Not much you can really do with that. The cheese and bacon were good...(on my iPad so I can't do the large font and red, as it should be), but the honey mustard sauce really "made" the dish, just my opinion.

It was a toss up between that, and the quesadilla version of it. I'd still like to try the quesadilla version as well. :)

I've definitely heard that you can do that landing wrong.
I even knew a man who broke his leg when he fell wrong water skiing. It was a super nasty break. Something to do with velocity and the angle that you hit the water.
