I hope I don't get run out of the thread for this statement....I never cared for Elvis. Didn't think he was all that handsome or sing that great. Today would have been my mom's 87th birthday. Maybe her and Elvis are celebrating their birthdays together.

Joey, when I went to work where I'm working at now it was such a shock to my system. I went from sitting on my .... at a sewing machine for 7 1/2 hours a day to walking and/or on my feet for 7 1/2 hours. Now I'm on my feet for 9 hours on my long days. My feet and back almost killed me for about a week and a half. I was walking almost 2 miles nightly in steel toes and I had never wore steel toed shoes before. They are a tad bit heavier than my sneakers were. Your feet will get used to it but in the meantime spring for some Dr Scholl's gel insoles, then get you a new pair of shoes but wear them at home before you wear them to work. I have 3 pair that I change out biweekly.

I hope the angels will be throwing your mum a wonderful birthday celebration.

Elvis was Quite the Entertainer! Had So many Loyal Fans! He had a number of songs I have to say I really like. He had some Old Gospel Songs I Like a Lot! But I also have to say Most of his Movies were Super Cheesy!

What would he be like now had he lived? Would he have done more movies and concerts like Frank Sinatra? Would he had been as big a star in his old age? Hmmm... gets you thinking!

What took you so long to get around to watch Gone In Sixty Seconds? Well Dale, Honestly I haven't seen it! That is if you are talking about the New Version? I saw the Original Gone in Sixty Seconds with Steve McQueen! Great Movie!

So, did You like the Movie? Would You Recommend it?

Yes, his movies were "cheesy" and I watched a whole bunch of them when I was a kid
Probably couldn't stand them now!
Pretty sure Elvis was already beyond acting or doing concerts before he passed ... the life he lived could have only one ending sadly, an early one.

Never saw one called that with Steve McQueen, this was the one with ... uh ... that guy with the pinched face ...; shoot! Had to look it up, Nicolas Cage and yes; it was really good
