Standing rib roast!!Bruce has been saying we need to get to using up more beef before we get that next cow!!! We can have a big bbq and I have 3 standing rib roasts left and that bizarre little crockpot thing for dips cuz it sure isn't big enough for real cooking! Fries and all sort of other good sides! If you're gonna do it do it right!!! I bet there's at least 6 new bags of different kinds of chips left from the Christmas trip he made to the store, I said pick up some chips... I know better than to tell him that he buys at least 2 of anything he buys!I have a case of baked beans too...

Well, her birthday present. But, do not misunderstand, they DO NOT spend that kind of money on a birthday present. He's always wanted to take here there. He was in the Air Force, so he's been, but she hasn't (nor have I for that matter). So this year she turned 65, and he wanted to do something REALLY SUPER special for her. He started giving her a card to open each day, several days before her birthday, each day had a letter of the alphabet to spell out a hint as to what the birthday surprise was. Then, he had a sweet verse to go along with each the letter of the alphabet. He spelled out Aloha....of course, SHE FLIPPED OUT!! A woman he works with convinced him to give her the last card at their Christmas party so they could all see the look on her face. The cards were given out of order, so she had to figure out what they meant when she had them all....Oooo! That's awesome Lori

Lori I can hide the baked beans. We'll have potato salad and green salad and pasta salad and rice instead! I make an awesome spanish rice, learned how when we were on the ranch in New Mexico, my best friend there was an awesome good cook and she was a good teacher... (if I do say so myself who shouldn't!)
