I left to go check on DH because I thought DH was up, but he was just getting up to get something for his hangover...and back to sleep for him
I do apologize for my comments last night! I looked like a needy beggar!
Part of my issue is that everything vaping related comes under massive scrutiny. Or has.... So when I bought my first 1300mah ego and a protank, they all told me it looked like a drug delivery device. They didn't stop giving me grief (teasingly) over it until we were in VA one weekend, and we saw a couple outside of IHOP with Vamo's and tanks.
Every time I mention wanting a mod, they ask me how much I'm saving versus smoking? And isn't a carton cheaper than any of these mods???
So I quit talking about mods. I have limited my purchases mostly to juice and head refills. Don't get me wrong...they do love me, and they think they mean well....but they don't understand.
.....I did buy my first mod.... A bolt from MV during cyber sales for 15 bucks. But no one has seen it. I keep it in my quiet place. Which seems wrong, I know... But I have never been too fond of confrontation, don't rock the boat. So I don't talk about it.
I will say, my hubby has offered to learn to build coils for me, so that is something.

No, Dh does not vape, never smoked.
The son in law Vapes, but he also still smokes. The eldest daughter smokes, not interested in vaping, second to youngest quit using just blu's. And because the son in law is dumb as a box of rocks, and the second to youngest is quit (but only for monetary and group home regulations), it seems to hurt rather than help my cause.

Chapel, I'm so sorry for your vape related/home issues. I'm guessing they haven't embraced vaping. My DH still smokes, but he doesn't comment, and he never has. He understands that I would have blown way more on smoking than I have on vaping.
As for the $ vs. a mod or carton, well that $ for a carton is just poof gone, literally up in smoke. Your mod will last much longer than a carton of smokes will. But I understand a non-confrontational disposition. I'm pretty much the same way, sometimes it's just easier to keep the peace. But seriously, my DH doesn't even ask what's in the box (no pun intended i.e. Brad Pitt - Seven movie) anymore.

I suppose some people don't realise how easy it is for it to become much more than an alternative to smoking, but a hobby.
I get comments all the time about what I spend, until I mention how much I've spent in 13 years on things that as Lori says, went up in smoke. People leave me alone generally now though, that saying "it's the quiet ones you have to watch" applied to me the day I got sick of it.
