Had a 25 minute wait in traffic Wed. morning too. It happens sometimes.
Along the highway we commute to work, the highway comes to a T. You can turn R to go the the base gate, left to continue on to another R turn to stay on the highway. We were stuck waiting to get through. Traffic as far as you could see backed up trying to get on base. Ah well, not much else to do but go a different direction, and that is the best way to go in to work, usually.
They built a HUGE subdivision when Air Mobility transferred there. It's actually off base, but right there by that entrance.

gotta love C-5s- we have them come through here every so often, the AN-124s are pretty intense too.

I was AF too....stationed at Malmstrom.
Now I see C5s all the time because I am right u der the flight path for Dover
