1. My tip of the day: never put your mod in your bag without first turning it off. I feel this is deserving of a reminder, even for the most intelligent amongst us. When you hear that 'ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss........' ... it's not good.
2. My [probably super dumb] question of the day: I completely fried my coil. Does this mean the liquid in the tank is bad, or can I pour it out and save it after I replace the coil? I had just filled it up :( :( :(

DER... Why'd I do that???

Do NOT recommend reusing. Been there, tried that, yecchhh.
Terrible taste. Burnt coil taste stays with the batch of liquid it's in unfortunately...

If your juice looks fried, darker than it was, I'd get rid of it. Most likely the juice in the tank was not affected too much directly but burnt stuff could come out of the coil and mix, for a burnt flavor.... And yes, turn it off.

It actually doesn't, but now I'm paranoid. I'll prob just get rid of it cuz I cannot stand that taste. :/

1. Had a device go "sssssss" in my pocket once. I didn't realize what was going on until the gal sitting next to me asked why I smelled so good. Ten second cutoff... whew.

2. I would live a little dangerously if I were you. Try that juice and see if it tastes different. If it does taste different, then decide whether it's better.

Yeah, I've never had good luck "saving" juice after the coil is burnt. It really lingers, yes Glad you caught your "hissing" sound still early, you could've been replacing a LOT more than juice, really. So, yeah, I would probably discard, but it's better than discarding an exploded mod and then having to replace drivers license, whatever else you had in there, etc.

I am totally .... about switching off my mods when not in use if floating around my purse, it's actually one of the few things I'm pretty consistent about. Explosions, yeah, but I also really, really hate the DMV.

At least it didn't go BOOM!....and...
Yeah, unfortunately this was one of my first experiences when I began vaping.

There weren't many regulated mods available when I began vaping. I had just made the switch from a cigalike setup to a mechanical mod with external batteries. For some reason, I didn't make the connection that the protruding fire button could get continuously pressed inside a pants pocket. The battery over-discharged and exploded. I wasn't hurt fortunately (the pants were in a work locker when the incident occured).
