So as the topic says I'm EXTREMELY upset with our local Canada Post Mail Carrier.

Today I was expecting a package. I have been home all morning. I was up at 10am and prior to that the woman was up watching tv (she works nights). So all morning I've been checking the tracking & keeping an ear out for the mail carrier.
Background: I live in an apartment that has slots in our doors for mail. My one cat can hear the mail being delivered at the other end of the hall and sits at the door waiting for it to be delivered. When they deliver to our neighbors you can clearly hear it as its a metal flap in the door.
All day nothing has come in terms of mail. I was thinking that they were behind our their route today as usually it's delivered by 11am-12p. Instead I keep checking the tracking and not 15 minutes ago I see that delivery was attempted and a notification card has been left.

No knock on my door. No notification card (I'll get the stupid card Monday). Heck no mail for anyone on our floor!
This has not been the first time this has happened. It's been like the 10th now. After the 3rd time I called and complained, they said they would address it. Well it was good for a month and then back to this same old crud!

What do I need to do.... Sit in the hall with a shotgun and demand they deliver?

Seriously not impressed!!!

Had same thing happen to me,they re-routed a parcel to my NEW ADDRESS,and I don't recall moving since I placed my order, they left a delivery tag at that address,I did get it sorted out,but what a pain in the ... doing it not to mention stress....I was out of juice and carto's:D It makes you wonder at times how our mail gets delivered at all.

I guess this is very common, every one of my orders have been delivered the same as yours....
the card in the mailbox stating there was no answer, and had to go across town to pick it up,
after 5 of course...which means actually anytime between 5pm and 9pm.???

One order that did come to the door was a Capellas order.(UPS)

I guess they only do letter mail and not packages any more.

AFAIK they still have no contract.

For me no contract means no work(at least in an organisation that large).

Gov. says get back to work or lose your job! Wouldn't make any of us too happy. imo.

Cheers Hitme:vapor::vapor:

Of all my vape mail that I've gotten over the course of my vaping history - its been a crap shoot as to which carrier will actually take the steps to open the mail slot and slide in my package.......hard as hell to do, I know , but I guess the ones that actually do that are the supermen of mail carriers.

My current postie can't get a regular schedule going. Sometimes he shows up at 11:30am, sometimes he shows up as late as 3:30pm which sucks if I happen to be expecting something important (vape mail or other) that day.

Well, our mail carrier doesn't come at any particular time and doesn't even show up sometimes. The mail can be here anytime between noon and 5 o'clock, which is quite late IMO. Some days, such as today, there is no mail carrier that even hits our street. It's ridiculous. Even the lady we know at the post office near us (who works for Canada Post) hates Canada Post. That's how bad they are.

Hey zer0ith, complain higher up, not just at your local PO. If they're like my PO, they don't give a poop

I've had a few that I've tracked at the end of the week (Friday) and it says "delivery attempted" Well WTF, all my mail goes to a post office box, I live in a small town & we don't get home delivery. Turns out they scan parcels when they feel like it. A couple times Ive had my package already, yet I'd get a message that the parcel would be held for 10 days then returned. What a joke, a very sad joke.

When I can get something courier, I do.

CP is the weakest link in the vaping chain imo. I recently bought a carto tank from a vendor in the States. A day later I placed an order for some stuff from a vendor in Ontario. I actually got the tank from the States delivered BEFORE my Canadian order! It's pretty bad when $8 International USPS Snail Mail beats out $16 Canadian "ExpressPost"!

No excuses I need my vape mail!

It turned out decent though. I checked the status one last time before going to work and it was waiting at the post office that I drive by on the way to work. So I did manage to get it today, but it would have been better while I was home because I could have played with new toys while I was there.

Oh well. Nic coma for me tonight!

Luckily my mail gets delivered to my box down the street. If the package doesn't fit inside the box, a key is placed inside and I can open up a bigger box below. So far I haven't had any problems and mail is consistently delivered around 10-11am.

In other towns I've had problems with delivery though. Guess it all depends where you're located on the route and the person delivering.

Hope your mail situation gets better :)

I know the feeling of anger man. I've had a my maillady not knock and just place the slip in my mailbox. I was waiting intently for the door, stalking the tracking on Canada Posts website, when all of a sudden "attempted delivery" popped up. My blood began to boil as I went to check and lo and behold there's the slip in my box. The worst part about missing a delivery is that the box for "pickup after 5" is NEVER checked and I always have to wait until the next day (which I honestly don't even understand because she delivers around 9am and the pickup office is barely 10 minutes drive from my house, AND there's a sorting center 5 minutes away..)

I am super mad at CP aswell. Just before the strike my GF didn't recieve her security clearance in time for clinicals so she had to find temporary housing in calgary (we live in edm) and live there for six weeks doing clinicals there, meanwhile one of her friends who applied for SC at the same time got it in time and stayed in town. I want to blame the carrier but the knuckleheads who run the joint are truely to blame. (supporting employees adequately, hiring the right people, fixing the fartin system etc etc etc)

In some instances their inability to provide adequate services can cost thousands$$$.....

venting complete, alternating vents lol :vapor:
