Well I had been rocking out a brass fitting ecig (http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/battery-mods/92610-pipebomb-log-mod.html) and was planning on making a copper pipe mod for the wife. Well after blowing up all but my nastyest 801 attys I decided to make 2 of the copper pipe mods, one for me and one for the wife. Both have a 510 connector and 2 3v cr123a batteries, Im using an 510-901 adapter to use up some of the wifes stockpile of 901s and she will be using a standard 510. They came out fairly well, very simple build. Atty connector - switch - spring. One has a loose strand near the atty connector so it shorts a little every now and then (atty heats up without touching switch) so Ill have to tear it apart but they both work great. Just need to paint em.

That is a really nice picture of your ceiling... does that mean you keep them in the attic? :)

Nice work BTW.

EDIT: I was just thinking that taking them to a buffing wheel and polishing them up would look waaaayyy better then painting them, also it is hard to paint metal. Just my opinion, everyone has different taste. Keep up the good work.

Well I sanded one with some 600 grit and clear coated it but it still got some tarnish some how. Im thinking of ordering some of this Europium UltraGlow Paint Europium UltraGlow Paint : United Nuclear , Scientific Equipment & Supplies and giving it several clear coats. Bright glow, lasts quite a while and can still see the copper some. I could drill another hole and put in an uv led, self charging glow :).

It is still going to be really hard to get a nice finish on copper or any metal for that matter. I would look online for some good tips... good luck with the paint and clear coat....
