seems odd still that the protank coil(s), even the clean..er ones, are all reading so high, and the cheapo tanks (rated at equal or higher resistance) are rating lower. I'll change all the coils out and see if it's still happening. btw, I'm assuming you mean a short in the coil, not in my mod, right? I think I may not be cleaning the coils right. will keep banging away. All this banging, though. I'm getting sore.

Well if you put the head on an ohm reader and it jumps around at all it is a short.

Rebuilt the Cerberus today with verticle coils. Horizontal with a wick spiraled into the wells and through all the coils was causing only the coil closest to the wells to take up most of the juice since it is first in line and the other two were burning out faster. Was shooting for .5 but added an extra half turn so the leads were on opposite ends so the would be aligned with their respective screws, thus the slightly higher reading.

I'm a hot pepper fan myself, although not to your degree (yay puns!). I can eat a whole habanero in one mouthful with only moderate suffering. The pepper candy sounds interesting. Remind me of some sweet habanero jelly somebody bought me once.

I make the best salsas and sauces I can pit money on it. If you can eat a whole habanero you'd be fine with the super hots. I make the sauces super hot but tolerable.

Dino do you have a source for replacement 510 pins? This little guy is so short I have to back it out almost to falling out plus it is loose.

Those 510 pins are like treasure when I am rebuilding my tank coils! Lol I dropped one a while back and did not think I would ever find it. I finally I found it, but ever since then I hold on to them like they are "My Precious" (read in Smeagle/Gollum voice) lol

Right?! Havnt lost one yet knock on wood. But then when I clean stuff its fairly frequent so I don't remove the pins.

I have a coffee cup designated for soaking my tanks and parts in to clean them, and I always tell my boyfriend DO NOT touch the cup sitting on the sink, because if you lose my tiny pins or pieces down the sink....you will regret it! Lol (we always joke with each other constantly)

The Aspire Nautilus is one of those tanks, I guess due to the air control valve, that gets buildup of juice inside where the air control valve is......so I take the pin out sometimes to clean it better, I wig out when I have to take the pin out, because I almost lost it down the sink once....it got hung in between my fingers......it freaked me out! Lol
