+1 on aa box. Easy, simple, effective, durable. My choice in PV after mu SD2 crapped out and can't get help my TW about it. Made one for my GF's mom, grandma, boss and by word of mouth have people wanting to buy them from me!

madvapes has best selection, quality, cheapest and best customer service out there.

I just did my first 3.7 box mod today and enjoying the fruity vapor of my labor. It took me a while to solder the positive wire to the 510 connector w/o holes and I've actually busted the rubber separation from inside trying to jam that pin back in. I took the pin and rubber thing out of a broken kr808 battery and salvaged the 510 connector. This thing looks awesome with a cannon drip tip and vapes great! I just bought more parts to make 3 more.

@JonnyVapΣ, How did you make a passthrough with the box mod and is there anyway I can make a box mod charge via mini usb?

Passthrough parts list (This particular build. Control pin regulator used to allow mini tactile switch and additional safety):
1 x AA Battery Box
LDO 5 volt, 3.0 amp regulator with control pin!
5mm Slow color changing led..
Mini Pre cut Interconnect Circuit Board
10 uf 10v Multi layer capacitor
Tactile Switch with Round actuator, 100g
USB cable (find one that has something better than typical cheap hair-thin wires).

Option 2; Simple charge port for box mod:
Buy any of the following USB chargers and gut it from its shell;
USB Chargers
Remove battery connector and wire charger/regulator assembly to break-out board and mount into box;
USB Breakout Board

Simple instructions and schematics found within MV's forum;

I think I left my passthrough at work (or I sold it...LOL). I'll see if I can find the wife's and get some pics.

If you're talking about the white box that thing took me about 4 hours to make and losing vision in my left eye...LOL.
Since it's only a 3.7v device, and I was using the regulator as a relay for the tac switch, I ground off the heat sink tab to the voltage regulator to shorten it. I then used the 5v regulator legs as a PCB and connection trunk. This is the only box I've built in this way. It was a lot of friggin work...LOL

Otherwise I build them like this;
1st is a standard 2AA built to accommodate a 3ml bottle. Next to that is the MadVapes pre-drilled kit. And a 3AA parallel unit. Next pic is my 5v 4AA sized "Traveler".

It appears all your buttons are higher than mine. However, my hole came pre-drilled (enter naughty jokes here).

Very nice work JV,

I use blank boxes and drill out the holes where I want them. The pre-drilled box is a good starter if you've never done anything like this. Hell...it's a good starter for anyone really. That was my first box build and I've built things that are way more complicated....LOL
