 I am wanting to make a mod...or at least try to...out of my mini maglite. Its just a bit (maybe 1/2 - 3/4 in) longer than a joye 510 battery. Its neon fuchsia and its a Breast Cancer Awareness one. I am an absolutely and completely newbie to mods.

I have no idea what I need or even how to go about making it. Its really pretty and I think it would make a nice battery for my 510 attys. And see, that might have even been wrong. I dont know. :?:

Can someone tell me what needs to be done, what I need and where to go to get the stuff? OR, someone to make it for me if I sent it to them?

Please? Please? Please? It would be nice to have something other than my 510.

Thank You!

It is easy. and would make a great 1st mod. the modders threads have more than enough info for how to do it. read the flashlight mod threads and have at it. a 14500 battery should go right in. Then a small 3 amp switch and a 510 atty connector. the rest is just up to the builder. BTW: get a crappy one to do 1st (just in case)

I would second getting a different one to practice on. Also the one described I believe uses a AAA battery and is too small for 14500's.

dzlady what battery does it take in it's present form?

OK I just went to the junk drawer and checked. A mini-mag is a AA But,,,,, NO an 14500 WON'T fit.
It would need to be bored out a bit to fit. I thought they were looser than they are. sorry about that.

the mag light solitare mod will take a 10440 battery, just like the laser pointer mod. I've also got the breast cancer awareness one.

Yeah, I made one for my wife back in 2009 with one of those, here is how I did it:

Switch setup:

And here is the charger I made for it:

Hope this helps, or gives you ideas...

Yeah, as a flashlight you will use an aaa battery in the solitare, for vaping I use a 10440 battery in the solitare.
I'll PM you my number.

I tried to call your husband bmwjen, or I guess that's the card you've included on our swaps, as I seen your post that he made you one and that you were or had ordered a solitare. I want more battery life in my pv. The battery in the solitare is aaa.

The solitare is a great little light and in the above mentioned mod works great for a universal vaper. The only issue like mentioned in the thread, unless it has the mosfet chip still in the adapter for the button, those small buttons will quickly burn out as you pass more current through them than they are rated. I've been toying with ideas on how you could utilize the mosfet chip from a regular mini style E-cig in this mod. When I figure it out, I'll share.

In the meantime, the 10440 is the right battery for your solitare and I've no doubt that you should be able to make this mod it's incredibly easy.
