Maganus Issues

Has anyone else had issues with the Maganus coil heads failing quickly? After about 3 days of use on the 0.2 ohm head at anywhere from 65-75 watts on the sigelei 150 my ohms started acting really unstable. It would go from 0.2 to 0.3 to 0.7 back to 0.2 and as high as 1.8. The wicking was still good and the coil is making solid contact with the positive pin on the base and I'm assuming to the 510 on the device because it still jumped when I attached it to my vaporshark rdna40. A buddy of mines also had the same issues with both his 0.2 and 0.5 coil heads after a few days of use on his sigelei 150 and IPV3. I'm wondering if it's just a bad batch. I have yet to take the head apart to see if there's anything strange going on in there.

Had the same problem with mine. Made a new pin for the 510. Made it .010" longer. Problem has gone away. I suspect contact was not as solid as I thought. Later I noticed that the gap at the AFC ring seemed larger than it previously was. The tank is press fitted together. I think when I tightened it down on my sigelei 100W it was bottoming the pin and eventualy the tank started to move causing the problem. Once I pressed the tank back in I was able to replace the original pin that I had removed. Not saying this is your problem but worth checking. Good Luck.

They say they have problems with the seigelei when its going to sleep mode...

I threw my Seigeli into the trash heap three days after I got it as I found it totally unstable. I have a Meganus Tank and prefer it to the Asprire Atlantis and use it on my SMY 160S God Mod, My Acer 50W Mod and also on the Eleaf 50W mod. I have never pushed it past 30W as I find that is more than sufficent for me both in throat hit and lung hit.

Thanks for the info! You are right. I did have a small gap at the AFC. I ended up using a vise grip bar clamp to press is back into place and it works fine now.

Glad to hear you got it straightened out. I guess if you run fairly high wattage or chain vape the tank gets pretty warm and that might contribute to the press fit not being enough. I think they should have threaded it on or used more interference.I think that is why they silver plated the 510 on the final version. ( ohms changing) figuring it was a bad connection.
