Daniel @ DJLSB vape just did a review of this tank. Its 24mm in diameter, short like the moonshot, true velocity style deck (that does not move around), chuff cap / top fill cap made entirely made of delrin.

I kinda want it, after the flavor the moonshot was able to produce I'd imagine this one would be similar if not definitely easier to build on. Also its 24mm in diameter and I believe the deck measured out to almost 16mm.

I had no idea they had a 24mm moonshot rta (so its called V2 I guess?).

Whats the build deck like on the 24mm? Is it the same free floating or did they change it (can't tell from pictures).

Let us know how the mage goes, really want one but am having trouble sourcing it in China.

So I have seen it called the moonshot 24 and v2 so either works I guess.

Its the same exact Atty as the 22 its just a tiny bit bigger. Same deck layout etc. It holds 3ml of juice up from 2ml on the 22.

Just waiting on the shipping to update to see if the mage will be here today

Ok so I got my mage yesterday and have put a couple different builds on it and have to say I'm very impressed! It is easier for me to build lower and run more power through the mage! The flavor is just as good if not a little better then the moonshot 24. Now to building this thing.
I was thinking velocity deck and its stationary this is going to be a breeze. It is to a point as its much easier to get the coils in it and I don't seem to have to worry nearly as much about shorting as I did with the moonshot. With the moonshot fused Clapton's sucked and I usually had to build 2.5 coil I'd. Not so with the mage through some 6 wrap spaced fused 2x28gx40g 316l Clapton's in and they even had a bit of room to spare ! Now wicking. You wick this almost like the goblin mini where you pull your tails up vertically and slip the barrel over them and this is where I ran into my first big problem. Because of the fixed deck and the cotton wicks you really need to line the notches in the barrel with the notches on the deck before hand and to top that off you need to get the barrel to thread...sigh....this was a serious pain for me and building the mage would have taken me less then 10_minutes each time if it wasn't for that extremely funnicky barrel. My only other con was it had a ton of machine oil in it. It took 3 washes and I still get a hint of it now and then but after soaking in hot water and dawn 3 times and having to waste my ejuice and rip my build out 2 times in a row I started to get a bit pissy and said screw it.

All in all its a better Vape in my opinion then the moonshot and I actually had an easier time building it except for the super finnicky issue of threading the barrel.

Builds so far 26g 316l spaced coils .35 420f 50w on lost Vape effusion dna200 super tasty dense Vape in TC

2X24X36g kanthal spaced Claptons in wattage mode .25 extremely dense vapor good flavor but started getting a bit hot at 65w however the driptip was remaining cool surprisingly and I much prefer it to the stock moonshot tip

My favorite build so far has been 2x28gx40g 316l Clapton's spaced 6 wrap ohming out to a .2 at 60w and it is just super moist super dense and super flavorful

Besides the barrel threading this is probably my favorite new dual coil rta

P.s. sorry for the horrible grammer and formating I wrote this one handed on my cell phone and will edit it once I get to my desktop

very cool. i'm a moonshot fan. i have a black one and a SS in 22mm. i might give this mage a shot. looks awesome. i'm a fan of low profile tanks. i was thinking of getting a tornado nano, but this looks more appealing to me.

I just found this tank and ordered 2.
It seems to fit my needs from what I've seen, a good bottom coil layout, if I may consider it that.
I remember years back when all we had were top coil clearomizers which had a hard time wicking and lacked full flavor. Then the bottom coil came out and the flavor and wicking ability was greatly improved.

I've only recently came back to vaping and picked back up on my shopping habits as I have RTA's, RDTA's , RDA's sitting around that haven't even been used yet.
I see all these newer 4, 6 or 8 coil build decks, they take me back to the old top coil days as everything is building upwards. It does make for good vapeporn builds and such, but that's not why I vape.
Sure, wicking has improved, but gravity will always be against you and back to the days of tipping while vaping just appears odd to me.

I expect the market to get flooded with new devices/vaping gear between now and 8/16 so manufacturers can beat the deadline. I'm just hoping to see some good innovations without lacking in the quality department. :)

My 2 mage RTA's arrived today. Mine didn't have a lot of machine oil, it actually had very little if any. Still it got a quick wash.
I quickly built 2 compressed clapton coils (22&32, 7 wraps), but after pulling them out over the air channel, they were to big and touched the sides. Tossed them out and built 2 long simple compressed coils from 24 ga. kanthal just to get this thing going. I cut the wicks a little passed the top of the inner tube, which didn't seem like much.

I think these are the smallest set/grub screws I have used yet. One that was installed wasn't deep enough to be useful with the allen key and quickly rounded off. The 4 extra screws seem to be much better than the ones installed.
All materials feel thin and a bit cheap, threads are not great either. It feels like a $10-$15 tank at best.

After getting over the coil issue and the cheap feel of things, I have to say the thing works and works well, but given the quality I don't expect longevity.

It does have the ability to give great flavor and I emptied the tank in 1 vape session and never got a dry hit, I'm impressed.
Being such a short RTA, I expected a lot of spit back but to my surprise I had zero issues.

Even with the flaws of this thing, I have been using it non-stop as it does vape very well with great flavor.

Would I buy it again.....not at the $30+ price range!

Edit: Make sure you get the chuff tip on straight and a good seal or it will leak like crazy.

I just got a moonshot 24 and it's pretty awesome in the flavor and vapor dept. It is a ..... to build. I'm glad I got a decent build in it, because I don't have any plans on ripping the coils out any time soon.

I ordered a Mage during the FT Father's Day sale. I'm excited to compare it with the MS 24.

I'm still rockin the mage and I just can't to seem to put it down.
The small size is actually a bonus as it allows me to switch liquids.
Flavor is great and this build is working well. I think I'm gonna break out the other one and try a spaced clapton.

I have a love/hate relationship with this chuff cap though. I can be a pain to remove as it is hard to grip. It needs some type of knurled base to make it easier to remove. Other than that, it is comfortable and I like the form/shape. I have accidentally loosened the tank by trying to remove it, so attention is needed.
I have also cracked one glass tank by applying to much pressure once when trying to remove the chuff cap.
I make sure the o-ring is lubed w/ liquid, turn it backwards until I hear a click then slightly snug to seal.
This method seems to work the best for me, YMMV.

I prefer a spaced coil on this btw. Also note that after you build the coils do a dry fit of the inner metal body to see if your coils will fit prior to wicking.

Here is Grimm Green Vlog 6/16/16 where he also talks about the mage a little...

Tried the freezer method, followed by rubber gloves and pliers. Managed to start getting it unscrewed, but the threading is so bad that it is unscrewing lopsided and will not come off!
Submitted a ticket with vapehappy to return and exchange it.

That sucks! I have 2, a black and a SS. Both work great. Threading is fine on them. Hope your next one is better.

Looks like my cotton is not up against the juice holes, but it is. I dig this atty. Good flavor, vapor production, decent size deck. Running spaced Claptons on it. 3mm ID, 0.38 ohm. Try and not make your coils too wide...this takes up wick room on the sides of the coils and causes you to pack the wick too tight. I took a wrap off each coil and re-centered and was able to keep my wick fluffier and not packed so tight. Still need to get the wick up against the juice holes nice and snug to avoid leaking when filling.

No leaks after 2 weeks except for the first fill when I did not get the top cap snugged. Snug is all you need on that. Just create a seal. Do not over tighten or you will have trouble taking it off. To get it off, turn like you are going to tighten it...just barely. It breaks the seal and lets it come off easier.
After a couple of re-wickings I had no trouble getting the chamber and deck notches lined up. First time was a bugger though! Love the low profile and small look of this thing. Had my first one for a couple of weeks and just got another (black this time). The finish on the black is excellent.

I love the mage, it's up at the top of the heap of rta's for me. Getting the chimney on was a challenge the first few times, but now it's easy. i agree that the build quality is not great, but the flavor sure is!

Hey guys I also am in love with this little flavor beast! But need some help with the builds~
Im using 24g Stainless steel at 2.5 diameter~ Im a low wattage vapor~ but i found that if I wanted a low wattage vape I have to do like minimim 10turns on each coil which is too big! And the ohms read at about 0.22 or less!
Need your help with round wire build here~^^
    This is a build i made but dont feel comfortable with it~^^;;

What ohm build are you wanting?
I use 26g SS, 2 strands twisted, 6 wraps, 3mm ID. It gives me a 0.12 ohm vape. Pretty damn good vape.

I have my coils closer to the posts and raised a little and it gives me the clearance I need to get the chamber on.
