Dual Coil SS Mesh setup? =D

I find dual coils; redundant and silly. So i never really got into it...
I would cut the second coil off my DC cartos

I could achieve better performance from a good single coil.
But this is just what i prefer :2cool:

Got my hands on a rda, i'll stick to using my ERA.
i i wanted something that big, i think the igo-L would suit my needs better.

To each their own, but I personally think the RDA is cramped compared to the IGO. Besides, isn't basically like an ERA?

In aesthetics, yes. The RDA looks very similar to the ERA.
but that is where it ends really.

The top cap on the ERA is way tighter.
not really sure what the RDA is made of (brass & anodized aluminum???); but the ERA is completely SS, inside and out...
And, the whole reason why i bought the ERA. It works with bottom feeders.:2cool:

even though the ERA is about two-thirds the size, i dont find it cramped.... and i have fat fingers :glare:
the only thing the RDA has going for it, is the price... but that isnt a deal breaker for me.

They look a lot the same... I think the era is a lot smaller though, and the hornet is even smaller than that.

I think I gotta drill mine out this weekend Marc, I keep trying out dual coils in it but I'm not getting the vapor production your getting. I made a new one last night with 28g wire that came out to .5ohms when I tested it on my vamo, but it's just not kicking like it should. I'm hoping once it's got more air flow it will work right.

Oh, and it's anodized aluminum (cap) and plated brass (base).
posts look untouched though...

over time, that stuff wears off. not really something i would want.
but for the price, you can just get another one.

I got my ERA used, so it didnt burn a big hole in my pocket, just a small hole
*FYI ERA is 22x14mm(without 510 connector)

Shameless pic of my ERA, with SS wick on a 22mm mechanical
0.8ohms... sweeeeet

Yeah, you need the airflow from drilling into the cap, for sure. Start small like 1/16th first. For my dual/quad/hex/octo coild RDA builds, I've got two 3/32 holes lol. In fact, if you end up doing a 3/32 hole, start with just one hole and a single coil. You might find that you're okay with that. Then if you're up to it, you can still try the bunny build on there without needing another hole. Otherwise, go nuts!! lol

Werd, I think I'll do it this weekend. I don't have a drill press, so this will be ghetto style.

No need. It's soft aluminum. Hell, I use a dremel to make mine.

Yup. A pilot hole isn't necessary, but it helps...even just a shallow one.

Nice, thanks. I'll start with 1/16 and go from there... maybe start with whatever size the IGO-S has in it, that might be a bit smaller... gotta measure it.

Ok guys sooo dumb question... is this RBA the same as the one you guys are talking about? It looks similar to what you guys are using but doesnt have a name brand or anything I figure matched price, matched looks somewhat might be the same. I already purchased it as my first journey into rebuildables looks like you guys have great success with it so why not besides i like to tinker anyway
