I had a brutal short with I first got into this, it was a nemmmy clone (the switch.) I picked up a magma and didn't have a regulated mod for it so I put together a nemmy clone. To my surprise I'm finding the nemmy much less cumbersome ,easier to use, and just generally better fit for the magma than my sigelei or trobeca 30's.I run the nemmy exactly the same at 1.5ohmx2-0.75 ohms. So I'd me gaining nothing going regulated.

I use my magma on a mech, would never use it on a regulated mod tbh.

I have a 2nd Magma, which is used on a VS rDNA. Just as good as the other one that I noted above. It's a 1.5 ohm/1x coil set-up.

Although, I really enjoy my collection of mech mods, I do believe that trend will be headed towards high resistance builds/high wattage combos. I am afforded the same excellent vaping experience via a safer method.

I am a mech mod guy...not a Nemi clone guy. The magma has a great deal of potential so regulated high power devices or mech mods are great-the Nemi is comfortable and as such I can see why you would use it but the clones have a tendency to short because of the amount of threading and the this aluminum body. I lost fingerprints with mine so it is retired for life...I saw a guy with a 26650 Kraken on an 18650 stingray the other day-proof that personal preference thrives in this amazing and sometimes strange community of ours

I think the reason RDA's were (past tense) not matched with regulated mods was because they couldn't go over 20w. That was yesterday and with larger capacity for double 18650's, there's no reason imo, even if you are looking at 50w and above, not to use a regulated device unless the 510 connector won't fit a particular RDA or RTA.

As far as super high watts, and efficiency of resistance to watts, I'm not all schooled up on that, but I don't even go much over 40w with my high watt dual 18650 boxes, and i enjoy consistent power at a set voltage/wattage for a longer time between batt changes.

That said a nice mech tube is easier to hold and enjoyable when its firing nicely. As far as i'm concerned I HATE having to maintain switches and contacts on mech tubes imo they turn out to be a PIA.
