I'm a new vaper. Been smoking for 27 years and it was time to quit!! I could tell, y'all know what I'm talking about. I tried the BLU's and others and they just sucked azz. So I went to my local vape shop and dove right in with a evic supreme and kanger mega tank. That tank works fine and I still use it to this day, but not when I fly, (I'm a airline pilot), that thing does not like pressure changes. My all day usage is 1 original kayfun lite +, same clone, and kayfun 3.1 clone. I LLLLUUUUVV my Kayfun!!! BUT, when I've had a few few beers and I want a good strong hit, I turn to my original MAGMA. Damn!!!! Believe it or not, I've got it set up on single coil, 2.3 ohms, 12w, 5.25V on the eVic supreme and it's creating fog. My Kayfun can't touch this at the same settings.
FYI...

No, it's not the evic, it's those kanger tanks that don't like the pressure changes. Even when you completely fill them, they still have a lot of air in the tank. That's what causes them to flood the coil with pressure changes...specifically...only when you go up in altitude, not down, it's the air. I've turned them upside down, right side up. Either way for some reason it floods the coil. My Kayfuns don't act up as long as I have them upside down while climbing to 37,000 feet. While I'm up there, I only use my Kayfuns. I will not use my magma for fear of setting off a smoke or fire detector. I'm not kidding. And if that were to happen, you guys would no .... see me on the news!!!!

Just turn'm upside down. If they happen to flood a little, again, turn it upside down and slightly blow through the drip tip.

One more FYI, you know when you're flying (that's important, must be flying), and you push the button to drain the water out of the sink in the latrine and notice a loud vacuum (or sucking) sound? Well, that vacuum is not created by a pump. It's a line that is directly connected to the fuselage of the jet and the vacuum is created by the Venturi effect and EVERYTHING that happens to get sucked down that drain in the sink goes straight out into the atmosphere.

Feel free to move about the cabin and use this information at your leisure.

I am also a fan of my Kayfun (clone for me) but drippers are intense. I've got an Omega clone and a Caterpillar that came with my Cloupor DNA 30 clone. It came built at 1.5 Ohms, dual coil and the thing just kicks.

I didn't think I'd like dripping since it requires more work but I'm starting to love the routine. It's satisfying that "start a cigarette and burn til it's gone" urge. The flavor and clouds are even more impressive. I really like it.

My only problem is that most of my juice is 18mg so I've had to be careful. I'm going to mix some with VG to reduce the nic content but it hasn't been bad as it is. I just have to take it slow and stop while I'm ahead.

I've got some juice in my cart at a couple of different stores that is 6mg max VG. I'm stoked to have something more dripper friendly until I can get my hands on some DIY supplies.

Yep, I love the Magna. It has the best flavor by far, at least of the RDAs I currently have. I have a single "flat ......." coil at 1.2 ohm, on my DNA 30, at about 16 watts, and its perfect!. I even use the middle size hole for ever better flavor (not as much as a huge cloud of course). I will admit, when I first got the Magma, I was having a heck of a time getting the wicking right. Either I would use to thick cotton, Too Long, not enough, etc. But Once I got the wick "tuned in", it has been awesome.

I use cotton for the wick, and have less than a half inch of the wick coming out of each side of the coil. I simple drop the wick down, and let it hug the wall going into the juice well (pretty much just like a kfun I guess). With that setup, I can drip into the drip tip, till the entire well is pretty much full, then tilt the mod/RDA just enough for the wick the soak up the juice. Leaking is very minimal. If you over fill, you will get a leak out of the air hole.

Getting the right thickness of the wick is also super important, or you will burn it out of the middle of the coil. I thought about trying a wick that wraps around the outside of the coil (maybe a Vertical Coil). Has anyone ever done that? I think I simple had the watts up to high on the DNA 30 when I burnt the wick though...Ever since I lowever it to 14 - 16 watts, that hasn't been an issue.

Glad you are enjoying the Magna as well!

I am big fan of the Magma as well. My KFL+ and Magma are my daily carry toppers. I've only had very minor leakage out of the Kayfun when flying, but turning it upside down during ascent/landing usually solves that problem. I try to vape the tank empty prior to a flight though just to save the hassle.
Now the million dollar question: Do you vape when you fly?
