All my fogger, taifun, and kayfun getting very little use now that I have my Magma think I will order a couple more .... I just love the single parallel build I have in it and since it holds so much juice is lasts long enough for me to forget any hassles of dripping and the flavor is great... anyone else? lol

I've had mine for a couple weeks and I was not impressed with the flavor intially. Finally got a good build on it yesterday and getting the great flavor everyone is talking about. However, I am not going to say it is better or worse than a couple other of my RDAs now that I have been using rayon wick. The switch to rayon made the biggest difference in flavor. It is like it made all of my RDAs have great flavor.

For me, the flavor is much like what I get with the Double Cross Zenith V2, but the juice capacity makes it so much more enjoyable. I like drippers, but not constant dripping. And I've converted nearly all my toppers to rayon.

Magmatized here, too!

Hmm. Thinkin' I should order another, but . . .

I picked up a Magma the other day and can't seem to get a good build on it.

My first attempt was dual 9wrap, 26g, 3/32id = .45ohms. I wicked it with cotton running down the well and covering only the base of the well. In other words, I didn't fill up the well with cotton. The result was a scorching hot vape.. I like a hot vape, but this was ridiculous. I've done the same build in myriad other RDA's and it worked just fine.

So, I made the assumption that maybe the Magma functioned better at higher resistances, so I simply removed one coil. That left me with a single coil at .9ohms.. still scorching hot.

Ideas/recommendations?

i have 30 ga with 6 wraps on a very small drill bit(not sure of exact size) clocking 1.4 ohm and cotton wick. i read in another tread where another forum member said to get the coil as close to the airhole as you can without touching the base. this gives the coil and your juice more air and improved performance. this seems to work good. i`ve had the magma clone for a month or so and i love it. going to go back to the double coil build i had before this single coil.

hmmm, how high is everybody seating their coils about the airhole? Now that it's been mentioned, I kind of remember mine being fairly high at the time. Maybe 5mm. With the height of the postholes, I think I just assumed that a higher coil placement was ideal.

I'm guessing that was my problem. I'll try again tomorrow, but will leaves the legs a little longer so there's room to adjust the coil vertically. Shoot, already had the pliers out so I could extend the legs out horizontally to avoid coil distortion.

Hows everyone been wicking? I'm tempted to roll up some mesh on the bias and stick some u-wicks in their. It took me months, but after finally figuring out mesh/micros in gennies, I'm really like that style. Shoot, in the time since I last wicked my Kraken, I've probably replaced the wool in my Kayfun 6-8 times.

Yes, I believe I was the one who mentioned lowering the coil height in the other thread. The farther away from the air hole, the hotter the vape will be, and the vapor production will be less. I set my dual coils very close. I'm guessing about a millimeter.

I've got the Infinite clone. It seems like solid quality. I have my coil as close to the hole as possible. I wouldn't recommend a chimney build based on my experience. It is the build I put on it, and while it shooting off some serious vape, it seemed to mute the flavor quite a bit. I don't know if that is typical with that build.
