Magnetic switches

I bought a brass vanilla mech mod. I absolutely love it!!! What I want to do is convert the switch to a magnetic switch.

My only concern is that the magnets will mess with my phone or credit cards. Is that valid concern?

Where can I find information on making the switch as well as parts to do it?

Google "vanilla mechanical mod magnet" I found info on one site that says the magnets for the Chi You will fit just fine. I think it was the calivapers site.

The magnets are relatively weak and unless you constantly rub them against your phone or wallet, nothing will happen.
Even sitting in a purse would be fine.

Actually I have a question for folks that have devices with magnetic switches. I have been looking HARD at buying a magneto or other device with the magnetic switch but I have a problem with my hands (early onset arthritis thanks to broken bones years ago). I have a K100 that is a fine solid device but that bottom button is so hard to press that I end up in pain in half an hour. I also have a Sentinel V3 clone with a bottom button that has a very light press to the button and I am fine with it.

How hard is the button to push on a magnetic switch device?

True for most mods but the Vanilla mod has a very light spring in it. It has a lighter push then the magneto. I used N50 magnets and it made my switch much harder to push so I would recommend using N40.

As far as switching them it is easy. Just remove the screw contact in the switch, remove the spring, install 2 magnets opposing each other and reassemble. It takes maybe a minute to do.
