First off id like to start by saying I'm new and hello to everyone. I have been surfing the forums for a while but just now decided to register.

I was thinking about getting the magneto v2, my friend has one that's set up to work with ego stuff and wants to sell it to me for cheep but I have heard it has problems with regular atomizers. Sure enough when I popped on my nimbus it would not fire. It's a nice mod and I love the magnetic button. Anyone know of any good fixes for the top cap? I have looked online but didn't come up with anything real useful, the only thing I could think of would be to use a rare earth magnet on the bottom of the nimbus to extend its reach farther down into the top cap. To shed some light on the matter the positive pin on the cap adjusts down but not up leave a gap with atomizers. The only other thing I can think of would be to replace the top cap with a regular v2 cap.

thoughts?

This top cap is threaded rather than floating with a cut on top. I'm going to try and upload a picture, I'm on my iPad to forgive me if I do it wrong

the spring under the center pin isn't able to withstand the heat and collapses. this is why it ''adjusts" down but not up. you have to pull the post or shake it out every freakin time you switch attachments. and then some. simplest fix is to remove the piece underneath the pin that looks like a flathead screw. it just pops off. replace the spring - it doesnt need to be the same dia you can use a shorter wider dia. spring. or just remove the spring and find something to use as a spacer - maybe one of those 2-3mm dia. magnets.

For a temporary fix that makes it non-adjustable I used one of those little metal inserts inside the rubber sleeve from a vivi nova head. it's a little tall, but fits perfect otherwise.
