So I've had my REO for like 3 days now.
It's a nice "shirt pocket" mod for me, I think - but I just wondered. If they're literally up against each other, might the little door magnets scramble my phone memory? Is the REO gonna start making calls, or delete my in-laws?

Also, I see that people ORDER magnets - do they fall off? And what's involved in replacing them if they do?

I carry my phone and my reo in two different pockets, mostly just to balance the weight. That said, I just realized that I put them side by side in a cupholder when I'm driving and haven't had any issues.

As for the magnets, they can fall off. Not sure I've ever heard of one wearing out and becoming demagnetized. Rob has said that magnets are not really needed and you can bend the door (slightly) to get a better friction fit if needed, but that would definitely fall into the "only if you're comfortable doing this" category.

Actually, I think my phone case has a magnet, now that I think about it, LOL.

I think I'd rather replace a magnet than bend my door, though that does make sense if you want a tighter closure...
I won't worry about it unless I need to - was just wondering if they're basically glued on or what...

Thanks for the replies!

A lot of phone cases actually use similar magnets for closures - is this really an issue for them?

Yeah, that's pretty much all I was thinking...magnets and credit cards don't mix.
I know it's not great for a memory chip but probably I'd need a much stronger magnet to be a problem for a phone...

Might want to be careful around credit cards. I had mine in my shirt pocket and put my credit card in there after a purchase but quickly removed it. No problems, I think it fell on the back side.

I learned that a hotel key card and REO do not go well together! It was just too easy to slip the REO and my key in my pocket to go down for the breakfast buffet.
