Maintenance for your mod

Hey everyone!

New to vape world and just had a few questions. Hoping the fine people of this community could give me a hand.

I'm a bit of a geek when it comes to tech and when I started looking into PVs, I went straight for the pretty lights. Ended up buying an eVic with a Protank, some extra batteries, mini tube, charger, etc.

• Wondering what kind of tools I'll need to keep it running well
• Should I keep any backup parts
• How much consumables do you keep stocked (coils, wicks, things I'm not thinking of)

Here's to me being in over my head!

Congrats on starting to vape! I got my evic a few weeks ago and am loving it. I am a nerd myself and I will tell you the evic is quite an awesome device as far as custom options.

As far as extra stuff it all depends on your usage. You will learn over time what you will need and what to keep in the tool box. The stock battery on the evic lasts me 2-3 days and I would consider myself a heavy vaper. The shorty battery will not last as long so maybe keep an extra charged at all times.

Maybe get a cheap ego c or c twist so if your evic breaks (you never know when it happens) you have something else to vape and the pro tank fits perfectly also maybe get another tank or atty protank is glass so it might break if you drop it

Just one PV is never a good idea ..... get something for a backup. I would look for something that can use the same batteries and heads. That way switching from one to the other is seamless.

For maintenance I look to my PV's as if they were my babies ... baby wipes and Q-tips work well with both

I'm a bit to .... to ask about consumables, I could probably go for the next two years without buying anything.

Backups for your back-ups - batts, heads, juice (nothing worse than running out and waiting for vapemail). If you're gonna do actual rebuilds (not just swapping heads on the Protank) you'll need Kanthal (32awg works well on those), Silica wick (I use 3mm), a good pair if nail clippers (works great on wick and wire) and maybe pair of tweezers. Tons of instructional vids on Youtube (I like the reviews/tutorials from Phil Busardo)

- Have Backups for your Backups
- Have lots of Vapor Towel (Juice will be in places it shouldnt on you and the device)
- Have extra Juice
- Have extra Juice hidden for Emergencies (Specially if your friends vape and hang out at your place)
- Have extra heads/coils for your devices that are mounted on your PV's
- Have extra batteries
- Have a dedicated charger for the vehicle & for the house (you will forget one day and wish you had the one in the car 24/7)
- Hide you credit cards and stay off any sites that ask if your 18 & Older!

Nolax is a good idea for the threads- used to stop corrosion as well as lubricate. I use on my Mech Mod which is 1 1/2 yrs young and the threads are as good as new. Thread wear is a concern with Mods esp if they are aluminum or other soft metal.

I agree with the "extra" everything. Use to be so easy just to make sure I had a lighter (and a backup pack of matches). I have a herniated disk from carrying around my pocketbook full of backup supplies. I feel sorry for men. What do they do? Good luck to you. It sounds like you are off to a good start. Enjoy.

number 2 led pencil, use the eraser to clean the contacts, the contacts of my kick get crudded up pretty quick, I just rub them a bit with the eraser and they are shiny like new again
