Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

I wonder what opportunities await us all this week and how we will seize them. It is fantastic thing to be able to sit and wonder this while time unfolds its tales for each of us.

"The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest:
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes."

The Merchant Of Venice Act 4, scene 1, 180–187 -William Shakespeare

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

The weather here is cool and soothing this morning. Autumn definitely has gained the upper hand; YAY! Autumn! Seeing the seasons change is such a marvelous and life affirming thing to me. The handiwork of Mother Nature as she paints, develops, alters the landscape is always astounding to me; I hope it will always be that way. Take care of yourselves and remember you have friends in this abstract autumnal landscape of this thread; hopefully also a safehaven and a place of peace, support, and tinted with the concern and love of others.

Fondest regards, cyber-friends!

Ahhhh....phew! Tuesday at last! Monday is spent and Wonderful Wednesday (A.K.A "Hump Day") waits with the promise of another waning week to savor.

I hope that Mr. & Mrs. Major are well and recovering nicely. I wish you strength and happieness as you share this day together.

Good morning to the Majors! Hope you're feeling better today.

I wanted to share a bit about the power of love. Not the kind you read about in the Readers Digest but about the stuff I witnessed with my own eyes. This is our new niece Giulia. My sister adopted her in China. Normally the wait on these adoptions is 3-5 years but Giulia was born with a hole in her heart. A special announcement was made to waiting families that if they wanted to adopt Giulia, due to her special medical condition, the process could be speeded up. It would be a huge financial cost due to the required surgeries and of course always the physical risk. My sister and her husband decided they could not give up this little child and immediately flew to China to get her.
Within 24 hours, she became of of us and was showered with love.
This is when we brought her home.

And this is her after a month of pure love. What's miraculous is a month after my sister brought her home, they took her to their US pediatrician and had her checked out. There was no hole in her heart. Was is a misdiagnosis in China? Maybe, but we choose to think that love, kindness, being part of a family, Prayer, good food, rest and more love healed her.

Always remember that to God, we are his little children. That said, since we all come from God, that makes us all brothers and sisters.

Don't forget about the power of Love ever.

Oh yea, Duke says hi! Giulia put on a hat on him for this picture for you
