Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

Good Morning all you fellow posters!

I wish everyone a good and glorious day. I hope that all who are ailing are on the mend and psyching up with a good tough minded mental frame of mind to go on through another day. I sure hope I am too!

Good afternoon to all the beautiful people that contribute to this amazing thread. Hope you are feeling well Major :)

Observing without judgement is the key to "seeing" what is. The more I know me the more I know others. If I cant see me for who I really am how can I see other for who they truly are? If I allow my mind to determine myself and others I will never "see" "I think therefore I am?" I dont have to think to BE. We are so much more then our bodies or minds and keeping up with this thread is a great reminder of this.

Much love to all that contribute and receive here. :)

Hope

"Hope" is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul
And sings the tune without the words
And never stops at all,

Gift of Hope

Give the world the greatest gift.
Not of money but of hope.
Gift of joy- the knowledge
I have come to save those
trapped in swamp of despair.
Trapped by sin and guilt.

Offer gift of hope.
Like Peter at the temple
who told the beggar:
Silver and gold have I none.
Instead I offer healing.
Gift of hope.
(Acts 3:1-10)

Good Morning Major and Mrs. Major!

May healing, recovering, and soothing energies bathe you both today. Another day another chance; another way!

Take care of yourselves and each other. I'll keep the positive energies flowing.

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

How are you both doing this fine morning? I trust on the mend and healing. I will have a three night work week, this week, followed by a week of vacation. I hope to spend Thanksgiving with my Mom. I wish I could have gotten off a bit later in the year but couldn't. She will celebrate her 95th birth day on November 29th. She has always been tenacious in her own unobtrusive way. Though never over confident, over bearing, or gloating she has endured a great deal and simply continues to endure. I thank God for my parents everyday.

Hang in there! Keep a stiff upper lip (even if it makes you smile funny:)), and keep on keeping on. I hope that the upcoming Holiday season will be a very special one for you both spent with family and relaxing in the glow of the season and their care. Maybe my Holiday wishes are a little early  but....I believe there is no time like the present and Holiday well wishes can rarely be too early or overdone. I'll bet my own tenacity is in for a test or two this week; so what! I'm not quitting.

- Babe Ruth

P.S. Honorable Veteran's Day! It is unfathomable the sacrifce that has been made by so many fine Americans, over the course of our history, that allows us our current freedom.

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

The year is slowly drawing to a close and Thanksgiving is almost upon us. This has been a mixed bag kind of year for me. One of the brightest spots/highest points was buying my first starter kit and eventually giving up analogs for good. In the top 3 brightest spots/highest points for this year was finding this thread and being able to contribute to it.

Take care of yourselves and do a little something special to pamper yourselves today.

Good Morning Major! Good Morning Mrs. Major!

Good day fellow posters.

I finally made it through to vacation time! I don't have to go back to work until 11/25/12!:)

There was so much talk about secession, revolt, and revolution, all around me, last night at work, I found my tiny gnawing fears becoming gargantuan gobbling concerns! So....when I got home I surfed the net, came by ECF and caught up on some posts, and played some video games. It was an excellent distraction from my concerns. So here is yet another quote from Patton regarding fears and their possible use in battle.

"The time to take counsel of your fears is before you make an important battle decision. That's the time to listen to every fear you can imagine! When you have collected all the facts and fears and made your decision, turn off all your fears and go ahead."

~General George S. Patton
