Thanks I feel like I am getting the hang of things. I was definitely over complicating things. Once you take vocabulary out of the equation and start thinking in simple terms it all makes sense. Once I was able to, in my mind, simplify things to the basics (obtain battery, obtain tank, obtain flavor), it became easier to get my head around everything.

What is it that bugs you with the metal tip? I haven't really used it much yet.

I am confused by wattage. In my mind, voltage would equal the power going to the coil. More voltage = more heat. But now that I think about it a higher wattage bulb produces higher light/heat. Now I am confusing myself.

This is next on the shopping list.

I found my lips were getting irritated from the metal on my tank; a kind of stinging sensation; it was probably the chrome; probably has high lead content in it.
Good kitchen grade steel might not bother me.

I've seen glass tips online; I don't yet have a tank they would work with but I intend to get one.

A wattage control on your ecig tests the ohms on your coil and adjusts the voltage AUTOMATICALLY for you. You can think of it as AUTOVOLT.

I know there is some kind of formula for this that I learned in school but it's been so long I've forgotten what it was. Is it V/I=R where V=Voltage I=Wattage and R=Resistance (measured in ohms)? So if I want to be at 3.7 which seems pretty standard. And my ohm is at 2.6 (I think that's what they gave me with the ProTank). What would I set the wattage to?

I recently made the switch too, I just find myself constantly going to my local shops and trying different flavors. But it all depends on what kind of flavor you are looking for i started with a tobacco flavors and once i went went to a fruit flavor i couldn't go back. If you can find ruthless at a local shop they are top notch. hope this helps

Question. As the day is progressing my cherry limade liquid which was tasting very refreshing and limey, is starting to taste more and more peppery. Peppery like a piece of nicotine gum. Is that normal? Anyway to dumb down the peppery flavor?

Congrats on your setup. When I switched over to the Protank from the CE4 starter kit, I know I found it. Anyway, I have this thing too about flavor. I would find something I like but after a few days, it started to feel blend and I have to switch around. I even use the same fluid in all my 3 setups but will lose that initial great flavor when I first vape it. Not sure if it's "vaper's tongue" they call it here or if it's my fluid getting "stale". I'm still learning and the closest to an "all day vape" for me is the Mountain Dew. I hope it's the fluid losing flavor rather than "vaper's tongue", lol!

V = I R

V = Voltage
I = Current
R = Resistance.

Power = VI = VV / R

3.7 x 3.7 / 2.6 = 5.3 Watts

I suppose taste is going to change over time.

I often add some glycerin to my eliquids if I want to cut it down; as long as it doesn't get too thick

Every one of our senses are logarithmic. For example with sound we can hear from 0dB up to 120dB, which is literally a trillion times louder. I saw a partial solar eclipse a few years ago that got to 94%, so only 6% of the sunlight was getting through, yet it only looked like a rather dull day.

Taste is the same, so a tiny amount of a very strong flavour can totally overwhelm a delicate flavour. Over here in the UK we drink tea, which is a very delicate flavour. Even stirring the tea with a spoon that was used to stir coffee totally wrecks the taste.

So it is quite possible for a strong juice flavour to destroy a delicate flavour, even if you try to wash it out first. I would guess that if you persevere the hazelnut flavour will gradually fade.

Or just use one tank for strong flavours and another for delicate ones.

How do you get the flavor out of a tank? I had hazelnut flavor in my ProTank, rinsed out tank and changed to Cherry Limeade. Hazelnut flavor stayed. Changed out coil. Still tastes like hazelnut. Any suggestions?

Vodka is a popular way to do it... different folks swear by different ratios, varying from 50/50 to 90% vodka/10% distilled water.

Take your protank apart and rinse it, then leave it in the a bath of this mix overnight... rinse well with hot water and dry well.

Hi again everyone, been away for a while enjoying what vaping has to offer. I have come across an issue that I can't quite figure out.

My setup is the iTaste VV V3.0 and I am using it with either Mini Protank II or T3S. I am getting a lot of gurgling to the point that I am getting liquid droplets on my tongue. I have tried wiping up any excess liquid but it doesn't seem to help at all.

Any suggestions?
