Malaysia Is Now On Tasty Vapor's Restricted list.

Malaysia is now on the restricted list for the time being. Nicotine products are a restricted item and because of increasing restrictions 80% of the packages from us bound to Malaysia are NO LONGER CLEARING CUSTOMS! We are receiving chargebacks because people aren't getting their products. We cannot conduct an honest business selling people goods that they are 80% NOT likely to receive and expect to retain payment.

There still is a possibility that you can get your products if they were sent to you using a forwarding company like VIAddress.com. This is a possibility and NOT a guarantee.

I'm sorry we had to come to this decision, but it was a calculated and sore felt decision and it will likely upset a lot of people, but the expectations of the Malaysian people will have no bearing on customs decision to confiscate shipments.

During this time, we hope that the Malaysian government will take the time and do the proper research necessary to come to an educated conclusion about these products rather than just relying on the convenient disposition of banning such products.

But be it known, 0mg (non-nicotine) products seem to have no problem clearing customs. The sale of 0mg products will continue at the wholesale level.

At this juncture I'm not really sure what we CAN do for Malaysia. We absolutely WANT to do business with Malaysia. Under normal circumstances, only an occasional package gets seized by customs, but there have been so many seizures of packages in customs that the percentage that DOESN'T get to their destination far outweighs the number of packages that DO get to their destination. This is not an adequate or reliable circumstance for commerce to happen. It is a serious business risk. So we absolutely need to protect ourselves, the interest of our company and certainly the costs of materials and consider if it is even reasonable to TRY to get packages there.

As we have a company to run, it becomes hard for us to do the research on ways around the dilemma in Malaysia of getting packages through. So we have to rely on you guys on YOUR end, to do the research and let us know if there are more solid sources for packages getting through.

Just telling us that you have connections here and there, that you won't have the problems everybody else is having, that you'll assume all the risks of having your products seized and just process your order... Too shady for us, and that doesn't really help the REST of the resellers we have in Malaysia.

We have to consider what we need to do, whether that be:

1. Halt ALL sales to Malaysia until the government has lifted the restrictions and will allow packages to go through customs unhindered.

2. Continue selling to Malaysia, but change payment methods so that chargebacks cannot happen and place the burden of responsibility on the customer, that given the known restrictions, THEY are assuming the business risk of having packages seized in customs and losing the money instead of us.

Number two is possible, but is ethically questionable in terms of doing honest business. No company should sell you stuff knowing there are restrictions on these items, and keep your money anyway if your packages are seized. It's dishonest. So, until were able to sit down and talk about methods, we're just not sure what's going to happen.
