I just made some 0mg liquid just to try my hand at making some. Thought if I made some with no nicotine it would show me what I need to do ect... Well, it was a mess! The syringe wouldn't suck up the vg so I had to take the dropper from the bottle and drip it into the syringe to measure it. Then I set the dropper on the desk and made another mess. The syringe didn't have a needle so when I was putting it in the bottle it started to ooze out the top. So, now on my list new bottles with no dropper in it. Plus I tried to use the blunt tip needle I had but it didn't want to suck the vg up, so what size tip is good for vg? I wish I could just eyeball it and use the droppers for the nic and vg, but with 2 people using diff nic levels it wouldn't be that easy I dont think. Any tips? Definitely showing my newness

When all was said and done my juice tasted really good. Just made a simple grape using grape and cotton candy flavorings.

Paper towels!!!!! Always have plenty on hand...lol. We started using the Viva brand that tear off in 1/3 sheets and then tear those thirds in half to make the towels go even further.
You can try putting your VG bottle in a hot water bath to help make it a little easier to handle. When dispensing it a 14ga blunt needle works great with the "pre-heated" VG. One time I thought it would be real neat to use larger syringes but I couldn't pull the plunger on say a 60 ml syringe and hold the VG bottle. I've settled on 12 and 20 ml syringes for daily use.
Hope this little bit helps.....

Yeah the 14 gauge is probably necessary for thick stuff like VG. I have some 14ga and with my PG stuff, it's really kinda overkill -- could probably use 16ga with my thin stuff pretty easily.

But the luer lock, that thing is great. None of this popping the needle off business... :thumb:

Or you could come over to the "dark side" and mix by weight.

I rarely use syringes or cylinders any more. Mix everything right into the bottle. Really easy with a calculator that allows you to enter the weight of your ingredients. Like: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/480587-new-calculator-try.html#post10998113

I like mixing but hated the occasional mess and always hated the cleanup. I can now get everything out, mix up 5 30ml bottles, and have everything put away in 15 minutes or so. Used to be at least an hour maybe more.

My bottles are 60ml and my 3ml syringe is too thick to fit inside :( Otherwise that would be great. I do have a couple cylinders coming that I ordered off ebay a few days ago that maybe I can just use those by pouring the vg in there?

My oral syringes came with a wedged stopper that fits in nearly any bottle and fit the syringe. The nozzle is at least twice the diameter of a luer tip and VG goes in and out without any effort. Darn handy, quick, an no mess.

Take your syringe (without needle) pull out the plunger and set aside.
Put your finger on the tip where the needle goes.
Pour the VG in the top of the syringe.
If you go a little over what you want, put the syringe over the VG bottle and remove finger till you get to the line you want.
Replace your finger.

Put the syringe over the mixing bottle and remove your finger.
I am impatient and at this point, put the plunger back in and push the VG out.

Wipe off your finger.
Done!
